This gate was super easy to put together and install. My grandson is 2 1/2, very tall and a climber! LOL He is climbing out of his crib at night if he has to go potty .. I wanted to make sure that he does not wonder the house - this gate is perfect to keep him gated in his room, but still be able to close his door. Also, it's extra tall- so he cannot climb over it...yet! LOl
Absolutely love this gate!! I had to buy a second one and will be getting a third! Using for pet control . Very well made and so easy to assemble and install, too. I have 3 large dogs and really need a strong and extra high gate. The open door design is so convenient. No more climbing over, a push of a buttong and I walk right through. Love it!
I love how easy this was to put together. However, it does have a bar to make it bigger while my doorways are kind of on the small side… But needless to say these were a bit easiest to put together. They are sturdy as heck, and they gave me the relief to know that baby won't be knocking it down.
Our third gate attempt at the top of the steps to keep naughty, older cat from urinating on floor. The first baby gate was mesh which the cats could scratch and climb up or under. The second one had to be drilled into the wall. This baby gate has been a dream. Opens and closes very easy. Pressure mount with no drilling. Only downside is if you are a very large framed/built person, you'll have to turn sideways to get through the gate's swinging door.
I actually used a YouTube video to show how to assemble the gate. Although I was confused upon first glance, that video clarified everything and I assembled the gates in no time. One tiny change I made: the little round pieces that are supposed to be screwed into the door facing, since there's pressure from the pieces attached to the bolts, I just put glue on the pieces that were supposed to be screwed. Worked fine and much easier than screwing
It's better than I thought but you do have to drill these plastic caps into the wall or door frame so that the door holds firm to any child or dog bumping into it. It's not just a tension door in that aspect. I do like the 2 directional door and it does what it says, keeps babies and toddlers and dogs out or in a specific area.
If you’re looking for a temporary solution until you find something sturdier, I’d recommend this. The only thing I will say is the spring mechanism to close the gate does get stuck after a while. I’ve had it for a month and the button gets stuck when you push it down.
I previously had the tension mounted gate. It was wonderful. For this grandchild 6 years between, we thought this would work. It was an absolute horror to install and guests can't figure how to use it. They end up removing it all together from the pivot point because if you arent careful when you lift to open the latch, off it comes.
I loved this gate, until I didn’t. I’ve purchased four of the same model over the past two years, mainly because of its height and my preference to shop at Walmart. Unfortunately, every one of them has broken. We use the gate to keep our dogs out of the kitchen, which also includes access to our bathroom, so it gets a lot of use. The gates typically break near the hinge, but this time the button mechanism failed, and I can’t open it at all. I won’t be buying this gate again.
I was unsatisfied with the quality of this product, so brought it back to my local Walmart for a refund on 5/2. As of today, I still have not received a refund from the seller!! Before bringing it back, I tried contacting the seller for assistance. The woman I spoke to was rude and condescending. I don't recommend you buying ANYTHING from these people!!
