While the device looks great, runs great (so far), the AR cards are missing, and the manual was damaged. When they say charger sold separately, they mean it. The only materials were the device (well packaged, but not in original box, even) and the very slightly damaged manual. (A rip in the spine-top corner of the front several pages and cover). The 3D is much improved over the original 3DS, the screen is dazzling. I was expecting to have all the usual paperwork, at least. Note that I was able to get a charger for $10, and saved well more than that. So if you're not a "Gotta have all the paper", it's fine. Also annoying is that Nintendo discontinued some of the preinstalled tools...
My original Refurbished New 3DS XL worked great, but it began having graphical glitches after a year and a half. I am not sure if it had anything to do with being refurbished, but the Refurbished Galaxy system I bought to replace it has a non responsive d-pad. I did not learn of this until after I transferred data from my old system, so now I have to wait 7 days (Nintendo's Rule) to transfer my data again before I can get a refund on this Galaxy and then get another one that will hopefully work. It doesn't help that the warranty on my original requires that I send it back before 3 months if I want to get that refunded and I am stuck waiting just to save my data. Case in point, make sure you purchase a warranty. From this D-pad fiasco it is very easy to assume that they do not properly fix real defects. If these defects do not reoccur until after the return period, you could be stuck with it. I suggest considering a 2ds XL if you can make do without 3d. It is brand new and you can still use the money saved on a warranty if you prefer.
Greetings! I am requesting an immediate return due to the poor quality in which the device was sent. It has several scratches on the bottom back and a visible "scar." Needless to say, there are various scratches on the front and backside of the system. It saddens me that there was no description towards the condition of the system other than "refurbished." Although the system seems to run fairly well, I am not satisfied with paying over $100 for a damaged device than paying for a decent one.
No charger???? Really? They should really make that detail more noticeable.
