Simple instructions, and a MUST after a dye
Although the instructions are easy to follow you must follow them exactly and I found that I needed to let my cushions dry then redo as I wanted a dark brown from a beige a and it took 3 times to get what I wanted, BUT I must let you know YES this dye really does work AND this FIXATIVE really does stop the dye from getting onto anything after it all dries....BUT using this FIXATIVE after the dye IS A MUST.

Color Stay Fixative for dark colors.
We dyed a large down comforter that was white to black using RIT dye. To ensure the dye set in the organic fabric we used the RIT Color Stay Fixative. It was simple to use adding it after the dye bath rinse. Be sure to read the labels and use the correct amount of product to dry weight per pound ratio of your fabric and you will have great success. While it isn't imperative you use the Color Stay Fixative it will assist in setting the dye to the fabric and extending the true color of the dyed fabric after many washes.
