Although we prefer these RMS grabbers, we wish they would make a heavy duty version with a stronger wire, connecting the base to the handle. These grabbers last longer than most, but it is still frustrating how quickly they break. They pick up small items, even a dime!
I use this daily to pick things up off the floor, and to reach things in cupboards and so much more. It is lightweight yet sturdy, and I have used my current one for years. Being in a wheelchair, I would be lost without my helper.
Now have one 32-in, one 26-in and now 4 19-in RMS reacher grabbers. I use a walker, cannot bend down, etc but the 19-inch reacher size helps me in many ways. I also have one in my car. Thank you RMS for making available the 19-inch because it's the size I use most of the time. I have used other brands but RMS is by far the best in quality and for picking up small items as advertised. I highly recommend RMS Reacher Grabber.
The RMS GRABBER is wonderful, as usual! When mine finally broke, I tried to order another to replace it. The RMS picks up anything easily, from a flat piece of paper, a TV remote, clothes, glasses, food, to larger items! There was not an RMS 17 1/2 “ to be found! So I ordered a “look alike” from a different manufacturer! Sadly, it picked up nothing! I now have an RMS GRABBER ONCE AGAIN! Thank you so much! Please keep it in supply!
This is just what I have been looking for. I am homebound confined to a hospital bed and a wheelchair and I truly needed something like this to reach things that fall on the floor out of the cabinet or the refrigerator while I’m in my wheelchair or to pick up a medication off the floor if it falls off the night table while I’m in the hospital bed Most of the ones that I have seen before or flimsy and folded up in half, which does not help me when I’m in the middle of picking up something and the stupid thing collapses and I drop what I’ve been trying to reach this one is sturdy it’s got a Economic grip on it it’s got rubber ends for picking up and holding on for example, my cell phone all of the metal ones it just slips off the cell phone and I never can pick it up the rubberized and on this one will stick to the metal of the cell phone and I can pick it up without it falling I highly recommend this product to anyone who is handicapped, disabled, elderly, suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, dislocated, shoulders, coral knuckles of your fingers and hands Sincerely, long time loyal, Walmart customer KAY M metrysentry
Very versatile tools, seem very sturdy after several months use. Useful for both intricate or heavier pickups. Handy to have in several rooms for convenience of use. Nice the heads can change direction. Easy to hold, lightweight. Appreciate having them with my mobility difficulties and limited range of motion for bending/reaching much. Plan on ordering more.
This style works best for me. My last one was at least 5yrs old before the cable wore out. I also like that I could buy 1, not multipacks with lengths I don't need, like other sellers require. It could use a loop for hanging or a hole to add your own cord. I wrapped a ponytail elastic around the handle and clipped a short lanyard to it for hanging on my walker.
this product is great. I recommend it completely. I have used several different brands of these grabbers and several different designs and this little short one is great because it's great for in the car if you drop something. even if you don't have any disabilities, you just don't have extra long arms. this is an awesome product and I can pick up a tiny thread off the floor with it when I'm doing yarn. if I have a snippet of yarn on the floor, I can pick it up. it's easier to use than my fingers and especially when you get older and your fine motor coordination is less. it's wonderful you can pick up a dime without any problem and this is not true of other brands. the RMS brand is the best. I have two of them now I'll probably. I'm going to probably order one for the garage and leave it out there and one for the laundry room cuz I am 4'11 and I need them. I have this little short one. it helps me hang my cups in the kitchen and then when I go anywhere I keep it in the car with me so I use this little short one a lot. I highly recommend it, especially for short people whether you're disabled or not
I only wish I’d bought these years ago. I have a bad back so bending is tough, if not impossible. I have friends who visit once a week and the 1st thing they’d do is pick up anything I’d dropped on the floor since the previous week. Seriously. Not any more though, ‘cuz these things are AWESOME! Well-made, very rugged and the length is GREAT for tall people (I’m 6’2). I’ve picked up full cans of soda, I’ve picked up a dime and even a micro-memory card (those tiny ones that go in a camera!). It handles surprisingly (no… actually, shockingly) heavy things with no problem but can also pick up pieces of popcorn without breaking ‘em. I bought a pair for my parents and am ordering two more to leave around the house. Just buy these. You’ll love them.
What happened? I have about SIX or more of these. One in ea car, bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, living room, garden, electric trike. Just ordered my 2nd two-pack %26 instead of one long %26 one med reach, I got a long %26 a very short! Is it the tarriffs? Everything goes UP in price %26 down in serving size. I use these to p/u litter, pick up dog toys, pick up after gr'kids. They are an excellent product but I'm disappointed I got the short end of the stick on this order. Picture shows the 3 sizes I now have. Short one only good for pulling towels out of dryer. I have arthritis neck down. Kept wonder if it's telescoping but don't want to break it pulling on it.
