this pepcid AC generic equate brand has always been my go-to. always need to have it on hand ... it works very well and soothes the stomach it seems to get rid of stomach aches or indigestion problems for me. I have used this product for years and years and couldn't be without it comfortably. was also used in recommended by the nursing home convalescent center that I have worked in. most doctors prescribe pepcid AC tablets and this is essentially the very same thing at a much less cost.

I've been using Equate Maximum Strength Famotidine 20mg Tablets, 200 Count for a few weeks, and it works just as well as the more expensive name-brand Pepcid AC for my occasional heartburn. I had never used this before (or the brand name either) but have been experiencing heartburn/acid reflux lately that has been miserable. I think I have tried pretty much everything else though. I just take one of these little pills and within very few minutes, all of that burning sensation is gone. it's safe to take while pregnant. it works FAST. you can take it before you eat after you eat while you're eating. I often pair it with a simethicone to prevent heartburn and it gets rid of the acid reflux burn as well. always take one if I'm going to eat tomato based sauces or fatty foods. keeps my esophagus from being on fire.

I have compared the Equate brand with "name" brand products, and it has the "same" ingredients. Why spend more money on the name brand when Equate is the same and does the job just the same and at a better price.

I am taking these twice a day for my gut. I have very noisy intestines and stomach. These work if I stick to bland foods but if I eat anything else, not so good. I hate taking ANY medications because all we are and always have been, is guinea pigs to big pharma.

Not all OTC's are the same. Different companies use different fillers, some of which can help with or detract from the level of effectiveness they provide. These, at least for me, are so weak, I need to take 5-6 at a time for the to provide the same level of comfort as say 2 of the Kirkland brand. And it's not because they're tiny - and they are lolz - it's the same 20mg of Famotodine - but whatever else the use as fillers and binders just makes them ineffective for me.
