Luv these lil cams... the wired ones! The battery one's are not quite ready for the public as Roku has no real support to assist people!

The video quality is decent, but I've got better cameras installed already. I may hang this one permanently in my garage so I can double check the door is shut. Good camera for the price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WOW, I must say I am impressed with this camera for a few reasons. 1. The ease of setting up this camera is no joke. Two steps. Download the app and create an account and then scan the QR code and then connect it to your home WiFi. That's it - It's good to go. 2. The app is incredibly simple to use and while there are a few customizable options, it's pretty straightforward. I like how Roku had simplicity in mind as this caters to a wide range of customers that may not be as tech savy, especially older ones. While this is the outdoor version, I did experiment with it in the home to test out the features and it would work just as well indoors. I think what makes it an outdoor version is the mounting plate to give you that option. As you can see in my screen shots, the camera can distinguish a person vs a pet when an alert is detected. The alerts go straight to my phone and pops up immediately with a ring. These events are also recorded to review. If the alerts get too annoying they can be shut off. The video quality is extremely clear. This is a fantastic camera at a very reasonable price point and a much needed upgrade to our old security cameras from 2018. It is very basic with excellent quality and would reccomend for anyone who may not be extremely tech savy. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Roku!

I had my purchase a set of 5 different cameras for our mom's house and my house. They do the job of letting me see what is going on around my house when I'm not home. My brother is able to keep an eye on our mom's house when we aren't around. So easy to use.

The cameras were easy set up and very reliable. They have excellent wi-fi connectivity despite being outdoors, some distance from the wi-fi gateway, and going through brick walls. The app is pretty good but I still haven't figured out how to best use the filters in the events tab. I am hopeful that Roku will put out a solar charging outdoor camera soon as that would be a game changer for my application.

The new firmware version (6.0.0 Build 32-FD) has severely broken all indoor cameras and outdoor wired cameras. Also, it appears the customer service reps were not made aware of these changes. Their only advice is to delete and re-setup the device. Some of the features that were removed: the ability to select the quality of the video, such as changing it to 360P, SD, or HD. They also removed a "sync time" option. Now all the time stamps are 1 hour ahead and resetting the camera does not fix this issue. If your like me, you cant reach some of your cameras without a ladder. If you're considering purchasing these cameras, please wait until these issues are resolved.

These will not connect to wifi even if you have the 2.4 HTz required. having to use the camera to scan the QR code on your phone is also frustrating as it takes forever for it to finally read it. Useless.

Once you purchase any Roku camera you have to buy the monthly subscription and if you have multiple cameras the plans outrages

Buyers beware!! These cameras are Junk!! They didn't even last 2 months. Never again!!
