Roku Streaming Stick HD Wi-Fi 3800RW

I have used Roku for years,including several different models.The best new thing of note is Roku has recently released The Roku Channel,which has hundreds of free movies.It is ad supported.Roku has just about every app you can imagine (YouTube/Pandora/Netflix/Amazon/Hulu/HBO Now) plus tons of more apps in many different categories.Here are some points to consider when deciding on which model of Roku to buy: 1)If you need to connect by WiFi in a room far away from your WiFi router,I would recommend the Roku Streaming Stick PLUS or Roku Ultra. 2)If you have a 4K TV,I would recommend the Roku Ultra or Roku Streaming Stick PLUS. 3)To search for content using your voice,go with either the Streaming Stick,Streaming Stick PLUS or Ultra. 4)If you want a wired ethernet connection,go with the Roku Ultra. 5)If you want to connect to an old TV with RCA/Composite audio/video jacks,you will need the Express PLUS 6)The Express models have a remote where it has to be pointed at the device,unlike the other Roku models. 7)If you are only going to buy one Roku device,I would recommend the Roku Ultra.The Ultra has many unique features that the other Roku models don't such as: -Gaming buttons to play video games -Remote finder to find a lost remote control -Ethernet port for a wired connection -Micro SD card slot -USB Port -Night listening mode (this lowers the volume of loud,explosive sounds and raises the volume of soft sounds like whispers.Very useful!) -Headphone jack on the remote for listening without disturbing others

Perfect item to cut the cord! I was very hesitant in setting myself free from cable. Then I bought this gadget and subscribed to YouTube TV. It's similar to the more expensive cable including local channels. I saved at least $50 and no more ripoff fees!

I like that it's so easy to setup. Just follow the prompts. Add channels you want. This is my second Roku. Highly recommend Roku. Also I had a little problem setting my sling tv account to get the $50.00 credit. Notified Slingtv customer service. They took care of everything. If you're looking to cut the Cable or Satellite this is the way to go. I'm trying it out just to see how I like it. Works great!

This is an awesome device if you want to cut cable cost. It's easy to install and it's the only remote you need because it turns your TV off and on and also works the volume control. It turns your HD TV into a smart TV.

I think Roku is the best streaming device on the market. I have 3 of them and you can pick the model that best for your needs. Like the model that connects to older TV's without a HDMI cable. Planning to buy another one.

This stick is really great! We replaced the tv boxes with roku sticks in all of the kids bedrooms and they couldn't be happier!

After struggling with my old Roku stick until it finally quit working I was surprised how easy this new one was to initiate. However, ordering was not as easy! I was trying to use an egift card which I had not done before and in the process accidentally ordered three! Good news was return was easy and free. Waiting for Walmart's confirmation of receipt and refund. Next order with egift card was easier.

This item was bought Oct 2019 and started in March to lose the back panel of the remote. Return date was Jan 2020 so we are 2 months over the deadline. Trying to find a replacement remote but having a difficult time. The stick itself always shows up as overheating...even when we just turn it on. Kinda a bummer...

I bought this for my grandparents since they have internet but no TV service, thought it would be more nice for more streaming services. However, since I've been staying with them, found out that this overheats way too much (within an hour or 2) for it to be any use in entertainment. Since it's been months, I doubt I could get a refund without a receipt. TV is a KC KC55V1 model.

I have purchased probably 5 Roku's and this is the first one where the metal part was already broken. I finally got it to work but had to tape it to the back of the TV. Whenever it wiggles even a little, it cuts off.
