I got this because I kept having my packages stolen. now all of a sudden people are knocking on my door to tell me I have stuff at my door like as if I don't see it. It's working. Battery life is great. I've been going for a week now on the same charge. I didn't know I would have TPD knocking on my door to see if I saw anyone's licence plate get stolen smh but it works tho guys. Works great if you have Roku tv. I can see my car and my packages so this works for me. let them package pirates try me again. I'm secured now. Not one package has been stolen all of a sudden.
if youre using it in the wireless rechargeable mode it's batter life is definitely not as long as it claims, video quality can be a bit buggy if you have it to far from your wifi, but other than those smaller issues its a great doorbell cam, would recommend
Warning: does not have SD card slot!! Doorbell will not record without 24/7 Internet. If it loses Internet connection, it will not record a thing. Within the first 24 hours of install installing door doorbell, my wheelbarrow was stolen right in front of it. It did not record because there was no Internet connection at the time. I will be returning it because it does not have an SD backup. Battery life really bad. I'm a big fan of the Roku devices unfortunately this doorbell is not worth the time or hassle.
at the very best I have a camera that I can access sometimes. I don't get any notices it's supposed to send me a notice if there's a package if there's movement and several other options but I never get any kind of messages. I'm also supposed to have recordings of any of these events, and so far at the most I get a snapshot. anytime I try to access that it always says video not available. I'm supposed to have an option of taking a snapshot, or video manually but every time I try to it says I don't have permission. I am signed up for a two week free trial that is almost over I spent the whole day on the phone with customer service and when I say a whole day I mean seven or eight hours. they were not able to help me at all. the only thing they could tell me to do was uninstall and reinstall and turn it off and back on and blah blah blah. I need to check my receipt and my purchase date to see if I can return this useless item.
Awful product. Im so disappointed I wanted a product that was compatible with my tv set up and in two day's I've had so many problems that I am retuning it tomorrow. it missed a package being delivered (and god knows what else) I miss alerts on my tv and now can't even view the live feed any more.
I had this item delivered from store and it was defective I can't use it and the only way to return it is to return to store I am disabled and can't get there I talked to nurmous people and they told me they have FedEx pick it up but never did Walmart agents lied nurmous times saying how I would get my refund and never did now I am stuck with a 108.00 defective item and they won't help me. I am willing to return it but I just can't get to the store.
I would love to rate this item but I can't. The delivery driver delivered the package to the wrong address AND insisted he delivered it to the correct one. When the apartment management called the individual about the package, she said she hasn't seen it. I stopped by the individual's apartment and lo and behold, she installed the package she never saw.
If you purchase this, do not purchase it from Walmart. Got the unit within an hour and it didn't work at all, straight out of the package, it has no power and when I tried to charge it, the port is messed up inside because it won't connect to the cord at all. I contacted Walmart customer support about exchanging it and even though they have plenty in stock, they refuse. They said they will refund me for the purchase if I return it to the store, but I can't exchange it. Contacted Roku customer support and they're mailing me one for free. If you get it, get it from Roku.
It's horrible takes a couple of times to get it hooked up. then when you do the battery don't last as long as they say it does. Then the thing just stop working all together on me. It constantly ask for you to send clips of video's when it did work which is annoying. It's just not worth the headaches. it's not a good security camera.
I really wanted to love these cameras and I was excited about the purchase. I mainly chose these because I already had a Roku account. However, everything about it from the get-go was disappointing. We have had two camera systems before and I have to say that each of the others were great cameras, easy installation, great motion detection, and we received every alert we enabled. Mounting these cameras onto siding poses a problem if you want your camera to be securely attached to your home, flush and facing outward. After much research we finally decided on a generic siding mounting plate. However we did run into the issue of when the top of the camera was connected to the top of the back plate (that came with the camera), the bottom would pop off and vice versa. Despite using the tiny screw at the bottom of the included back plate, which did hold the bottom part of the camera in place, the top part of the camera would still pop out. fFast forward... all alerts are enabled, motion is set to high sensitivity, everything has been rebooted, everything is on the same network and getting a good signal, everything is up to date, and I still do not get alerts, even with the subscription that I paid for when suspecting the subscription would resolve the issue. It is the worst experience I have ever had with a doorbell camera and I am not new to this technology. This is a major fail for Roku..
