Best kept secret!

Alyssa June 10, 2026

These are fantastic! Incredibly easy to make. Just boil some water and add the packet, super quick, and tasty. If you love making chicken pot pie but don't want the meat, this is a great chicken substitute for pot pie and chicken salad. Just add it to your recipe like you would if you were using chicken. I also love that these have simple ingredients. I hadn't seen these advertised very much or in store (but I hope Walmart starts having them in store) so definitely a gem of a product. I highly recommend this product. I've also tried several of the other versions : the taco seasoned one is great for tacos, lasagna and casseroles (anything you'd use ground beef for) and the fajita one is incredibly flavorful and delicious. I love them all!

Delicious

Absolutely delicious! We put this on flat bread with hummus, avocado, tomatoes and vegan cheese, so delicious! It's a bit pricey so we buy as a special treat.

Hope is here

Linda December 9, 2025

One bite and it's obvious that RollinGreens products are chef created. The seasoning and texture were right on point. A homemade plant based mayo, apples, celery and a little onion made a Very* Good unchicken salad. We're happy! Backed off a bit on the seasoning for this but used it in another dish. Purchased five times so far..

It's hard to find vegan "chicken" that is gluten, dairy, and soy free. It's also hard to find chicken that does not get mushy when it is marinated. We like this "chicken" and were happy to see it at our local Walmart. 😀

RollinGreens Plant based chopped chicken

anonymous June 12, 2025

I have been a vegetarian for over 30 years and have 2 teenage sons who love my cooking. Both are fit, strong, and over 6 foot tall. It's like being flanked by 2 Vikings! Point is, I throw some of this in with their fried rice and quesadillas and always get compliments and requests for more. I am writing this to persuade people to eat more plant based, and with options as tasty as these, it is so easy. I read articles saying to stay away from "fake" meat, so I do my best to write my own articles and reviews to educate people that "real" meat has become a "profit-driven" toxic soup nightmare of antibiotics and growth hormones, where oozing tumors are just cut out and the rest of the flesh is sold. Please connect the dots.... the root cause of unhappy and diseased humans (diabetes, strokes, coronary heart disease) is eating abused and diseased animals. East solution = EAT MORE PLANTS!

Kind of spongy but not bad

Susan July 25, 2026

It wasn't as good as tofurky lightly seasoned chick'n but it wasn't as bad and spongy as when I've made seitan from vital wheat gluten. It was like right inbetween those two things. It was easy enough to boil in water until all the water was absorbed but it wasn't any good like that. After I fried it up with onions and seasonings of my own it tasted okay. I ended up mixing it in with yokisoba which had its own flavor packet so it came out all right but I doubt I'll buy it again. It cost almost $2 more than tofurky but I'd rather ask my friend to pick up some tofurky for me from winco than eat this again. It wasn't bad though. I can't afford to not eat food just because I don't like it. It did feel spongy like but it was in small pieces so it wasn't as bad as some stuff. It reminded me of tvp even though the label says it's made with good ingredients and it's healthy

Like eating a box of salt

Suzanne May 21, 2026

"Salt" is the operative word on the package. They use excessive salt to mask the problem with the flavor. I forced myself to eat a serving and found it nauseating. Just looking at the remaining servings made me wince. It would probably be okay if you (1) rinsed it after cooking, to remove the salt brine and (2) smothered it in some kind of sauce. The texture is what you'd expect from pea protein manufactured to feel like crumbled chicken -- something impossible.

Yuk

RaviOli October 30, 2025

I was hoping this product would be similar to Quorn Meatless Pieces, which seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. This stuff looked so unappetizing after I prepared it according to the directions, and tasted as bad as it looked. I actually ate some that I made into Chik'n salad, on a sandwich. I finished it only because I was really hungry. The rest of it went down the garbage disposal and I definitely wouldn't buy it again.

SALTY

I October 10, 2025

I was looking forward to trying this product. After cooking, I mixed it with celery, onion, and red pepper. When it was cold, I added mayo. It would have been delicious, but it was so extremely salty that I couldn't eat it. It was like eating salted cod without changing the water. A shame because I would've bought it again. The only thing wrong with it was the saltines. I did not add salt at all.
