(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I recently tried the Rowenta Smart Temp Iron and loved it! I really appreciated how precise the steam and spray coverage was. I'm really particular about my antique linens and it's important to me that the steam coverage is even and precise. This fit the bill perfectly. The handle is comfortable and the iron is lighter than my old iron. It heats quickly and evenly and gives a perfect vertical steam. Some of my linens are over 100 years old and I can't stress how important the Rowenta ‘no burn technology' is on this iron. One small burn would destroy fragile linen. Not only did this not burn any of my fabrics, but the precision tip and precise spray allowed me to get into the corners and more scalloped details of certain fabrics perfectly. The steam coverage was excellent and unlike other irons, it was consistent every time so I knew exactly what to expect. I love this iron and I actually really enjoy ironing now! Would recommend this iron above all others. Hands-down the best iron I have ever tried.

It knows exactly what temperature the fabric needs. Just add water and it's ready to go. It heats up super fast and has an auto shut off function to put your mind at rest if you forget to unplug it. It gives a strong blast of steam that you can adjust to a light steam. It also has a mist spray for a little help smoothing out cotton and linen. This iron is a 5 star for sure. The steam works to quickly get all wrinkles out. I love the swivel on the iron for the cord - means my left-handed husband can use easily!

Love my new rowenta! Never have to worry about temp adjustments again. My only negative comment would be that its a bit difficult for me to see the water level because the water is behind darkened glasslike material. But other than that - I love it !

In comparison, I found this new product to be of lower quality for the following reasons: - The iron is hard to fill as the filler neck is too narrow. - The lack of a filler gauge makes it hard to know when the iron is full - The steam on demand function delivers a weak blast of steam. - The excessive use of chrome indicates the product is no longer made in Germany. Overall I trust the brand but this is clearly not its premium product.

No temperature control! Probably would work well for someone who doesnt really iron a variety of materials. It didnt get hot enough to iron the wrinkles out of some cotton khaki shorts. I do a good bit of sewing and not being able to adjust the temperature is a no go for me. Although the style is nice, I will be returning.
