Rust-Oleum Automotive Kit Headlight Restore

So far my headlights look great!!! My 13 year old car looks as good as my husbands 5 year old truck. I paid $50 for a repair shop to buff them last year to pass inspection and this year the same shop told me that they needed to be done again or my car will fail inspection. I decided to buy this product so I hope it lasts.

I was skeptical but for less than $10 I figured I'd try it. I have a 2003 Honda Accord, 250,000+ miles. The headlights were dull. Had to scrub the lights several times with the included scrubbing pads but it worked. I used a small spray bottle of water to make the first step easier. Been a few weeks since I applied the Wipe New coating and the headlights are still very clear.

I decided to try the Wipe New Headlight Restore kit for my 2006 Honda after spending upwards of $150 each time the dealership restored the headlights. Their restoration lasted about 6-8 months before the lenses began to cloud over again. Read the directions THOROUGHLY, do the prep work as stated, follow each step accurately, and definitely do the work in a WELL ventilated area. (I used the product in my open door garage and the smell was awful. The smell started to seep into the house). After completing the job I set up an 18" floor fan at the front of the car and blew the odor out of the garage which definitely helped lessen the odor in the garage and eliminated the smell indoors. Pay close attention to the final step and ensure your single wipe strokes slightly overlap the prior wipe stroke and do NOT go over the the wet area again. I did the restoration in early May and the headlights still look like new. It has made a huge improvement for low light and night driving not only for me but for on coming traffic who can now more clearly see my vehicle. I am an over 60 year old woman and I found the process to be relatively easy, it didn't take much time to complete, and I saved a ton of money by doing it myself. I highly recommend this product and will use it again.

For all the people giving poor reviews, how? I followed the directions and it worked beautifully. I’m ordering another one now that I know it works. The results were quite dramatic - that image on the package is accurate. I wish I took pictures. It takes a little manual effort to prep the headlights, but all you need other than what’s in the kit is a spray bottle with water. Just follow the directions, especially the part about not wiping the area twice with the application towel. I did that and have a tiny bit of streaking.

Very easy to use just follow the directions. Lights are much clearer than before. If you purchase the product and feel apprehensive about using it look at the "How to" videos on the internet they help immensely.

This product is phenomenal! I had a yellow film covering my headlights and even soap scrub pads would not remove. This product worked lik a charm. Headlamps look brand new!

I read the instructions and then watched a video...so glad I did. It took a little elbow grease since my vehicle is a 2004, with 250,000 miles on it. However, the results were great.

Instructions are clear and concise. Just follow the instructions for a successful result. I used a spray bottle with tap water to keep the lens moist. I did both lens with the green then the gray. Wipe dry with the microfiber cloth and apply the seal wipe. I would recommend or use again.

WOW! I'm completely blown away by this product. I can't believe how much money I've wasted on other headlight restoration kits and first, the price is right. Secondly, it takes hardly any time or elbow grease to get the job done. My headlights look brand new and I couldn't be happier! Very much worth the money and the time. It's been 3 months and they still look fabulous! I will definitely be ordering this in the future.
