Release the guide, pull back the apple holder, install the apple, start spinning the handle keeping pressure in the guide/guide screw. Easy to use and works great. You must keep pressure on the guide/guide screw or it will peel in the same place. Great suction base, sharp blade, works great on apples!
Love this. Originally ordered it for daughter, borrowed it and ordered one for my self!! Excellent product! Saves so much time and effort during harvest season!!
Works great - totally easy and awesome! I highly recommend this peeler to anyone wanting easily peeled and ring-sliced apples.
It works, but it's messy. The base did need some water to stick, and it took me a few minutes to figure out how to use it. Instructions told how to place it - but not much more. The slices were very thin, but the peeling gouged deep and missed a few times. The messy part was the peeler platform. Once it gouged out a little too much, it clogged up and made apple sauce with the peel and I had to unclog it to get it to keep peeling. Otherwise it cored and peeled and sliced as described.
I'm sorry to say that the quality of this Apple peeler is poor. It did not hold a suction to the countertop and even when adjusted would not peel a consitent thin strip. It dug too deep into the apple and would not push the apple through the corer, the shaft screw guide would jump off the shaft.
I bought it for my son for me and him to use when I am at his house. It's made cheap. When I began to use it, the peeler blade would not stay in place, the wing nut could not be tightened. I wish I had sent it back. And, yes, I know what I am talking about. I have one I bought years ago and this new one doesn't come close to my older one.
It fell apart by the third apple. The parts are cheap and broke apart under the pressure of peeling an apple. The screw rod bent and the pin on the arm controlling the suction cup fell off. Would highly recommend NOT purchasing this item.
it pealed and cut deeply into apple. maybe better instructions would be help. Thankfully Walmart gave a full refund and told me to toss it.
The corner did not work, the center rod and guiding mechanism is too weak and the lock plate slips out of the guide slot and will not push the apple through the corner. Too cheaply made.
Save your money. Came with no directions and upon first use it fell to pieces. The knife edge is exposed with no safety instructions and I cut a gash across a vein in my hand when it came apart. It would not stay lined up to properly peel and I strongly do not recommend it.
