It was all unnecessary because with that first sip you realize that it actually tastes like berries! It is delicious and I've had no problem getting the family to take it because it is not like your traditional heavy syrups. We call it grape juice vitamins because it goes down that easy and smooth. I started getting elderberry last year when my kids were constantly coming home from school sick, and I feel like it is nice to have something to help shore up their immune systems. Literally anything that will keep than any bit healthier is worth trying for us because we have a baby in the house and with 2 kids in school it's a constant fight against the germs that are going around. I have seen other forms of this and will definitely be looking to try those once the liquid is gone, because I think it's great they are coming out with alternative methods of delivery, but I wouldn't hesitate to get this kind again because it's a hit! It is always great when you can get everyone on board to willfully participate in taking something that you know will help them! I'm hoping they incorporate this into an actual cough syrup soon too!

I have been taking this daily and the weather changed where we had a few cold days and I usually catch a cold or a sinus infection every time this happens. However, this time, it didn't happen and I totally give all the credit to this syrup. It has a great berry taste, it has no after taste, and even my son who is picky loves it. Simply take the recommended dose daily using the measuring cup included, and your immune system will be tough to beat in no time. This works for both adults and children over the age of 4. This is a must buy before the weather changes.

I love this product. I was not sick for years while taking this, and I used to get sick all the time before discovering it. I ran out this winter and could not find any to buy anywhere because of the flu outbreak. Then I ended up with the flu myself. I recently found some more at my local Walmart and bought a few bottles. Now I feel great again. Whenever I start feeling bad I drink the included cup full. I think the stuff tastes great also!

I typically take the gummies daily but now they are impossible to find. My dad recommended this syrup. I was happy to be able to order it online. Price was fair! I do feel that this helps my immune system.

I have been using Sambucol for years now. Every time I start to feel ill or there is a cold going around, I start taking Sambucol. Great taste, easy to take and really works to keep your immune system strong to fight off the bad bugs.

So, I got the cough or viral infection that's going around. My friend told me to buy this. Since I'm nursing my baby still I do not like taking medicines so this was an easy NATURAL fix. My husband had the viral for a week. Me for 3 days!!!

Great immunity booster if you're feeling sick. I use it for direct intake of elderberry if I start to come down with a cold and an immunity tea isn't helping. Soothes the throat and tastes good.

This stuff is very very full of sugar. I got it got my dog coughing...it helps a little but way too much sugar, I'd not use it. I've ordered a sugar free brand.

I ordered this item for delivery (we had flu B in the house and didn't want to spread virus). Both boxes that I ordered were cut clean across the top of the box exposing the contents inside. It appears that both bottles are secure and sealed, but this makes me a bit leary. Very disappointed that Walmart would sell these, I certainly would not have purchased if I were able to make an in store purchase. I've noticed lately that I receive dented cans, torn up boxes, etc when ordering for delivery. Perhaps Amazon is the better option.
