Love this TV, great features, lovely clear screen/great picture.
Amazing picture quality with crystal clear clarity and so bright. True bright vivid colours. Sound is also good too. This is the 2nd one I have bought. Other was a 65" and same model
Great picture display and sound but I find it confusing when turning it on. Having to select from a variety of feature options instead of carrying on where it was switched off. At age approaching 80 I suppose I'm a bit of a technophobe and this high tech doesn't come naturally. However I get there eventually with perseverance if at times frustrating. That said i am pleased with my purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the 65" QN90D last week and am very happy with my purchase. The picture quality in the very lit up area i have is amazing! Couldn't be happier with my choice!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago, picture quality is awesome. Great tv.I would recommend this tv to anyone who is looking to grab Neo Qled tv
Good: The TV has very good image quality, deep blacks and spectacular upscaling from Full HD to 4K. Bad: The viewing levels are very bad, the image becomes very bright, without color and one of the features that are described in this product is that it has Wide Viewing Angles. (Maybe my device has a problem?)
I bought this TV (50” screen) to replace my Sony 42” that I bought in 2010, and to be honest I think the Sony is better is some ways, sure the apps on the sony don't work any more, but a Roku fixes that. That's get into this…… Sure the blacks are really black on this Samsung, but unless you're a proper geek you really won't care. Colours are very good and geeky reviews will tell you that its colour reproduction is very good. My major gripe with the screen is the edge shadows, when the picture is light then there's a very obviously shadow around the whole screen, this is apparently due to edge lighting. Theres a load of settings in the menus, most of which make no real difference to the watching of the picture. You do see the dimming zones working at times to try and make the picture darker or lighter. HD picture is pretty average, I've seen crisper picture from a 5 year old Crystal UHD Samsung TV, SD upscaling does do a good job however. Speed wise it seems to keep up with fast moving images well such as F1 or football. My other real gripe is the tuner situation. I saw that the QN90D had twin tuners, great I thought, I can record two things at the same time, whilst watching something else, fixes the situation of needing a set top box for Freeview, it can do series link, great. Little did I know that it sets up its series link based on the information it has at that point in time, and since Freeview only publishes 7 days' worth of TV, then your series link is only valid for 7 days. So if you watch a program that is on weekly, the series link won't work. If you watch something like “I'm a celebrity, get me out of here” which is on daily, then it will set the series link up for 7 days, then it stops. If you like F1, then a series link will record the shows for that race weekend, but that's it. So that's pretty pointless aswell, set top box manufacturers like Humax, Manhattan etc can do the series links properly so why can't one of the biggest electronic manufacturers on the planet. The other issue is that it's a real pain to find the programs that you have recorded, You can only do it with the smart remote, and it's a very convoluted way of finding it, I had to search online to find out how to do it. The TV doesn't accept SSD's so you need a spinning disk HDD to record anything, that's not the end of the world though. Now Freely will make this all redundant anyway as you won't be able to record streaming TV, but still…. The TV has all the apps that you would expect, Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Discovery+ etc, etc, and the TV generally responds quickly, the home screen is quite busy, but you can customise the layout of apps etc so that is good. The guide is clear and easy to use. Samsung TV gives you loads of online channels which is great, but other manufacturers like LG also offer this service, so not a reason to pick Samsung over LG for example. Sound wise, if you have a “big” TV most people buy a soundbar anyway, I have the TV on a TV unit, not a wall, and bought the TV with a Q700 soundbar, which works well together, the Q-symphony system uses the TV speakers and the soundbar to give you a more rounded sound quality and on a whole works well, no complaints with that at all. So overall, am I happy with the TV? well if I had paid full RRP for this TV then I'd have been really annoyed and to be honest I'd be returning it. I'm still debating if I will return it, If you have a TV that's 7 year old or less then I see no reason to buy this TV, Sure the reviews make it sound amazing but actually I'm a bit underwhelmed by it.
Sound : Lip sync issues with Samsung sound bar. Have tried lots but cant fix. The connection is an optical cable. Resolution and Display very good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this new QLED4Lk 1 week ago. Picture quality is not good.even after adjusting the white balance, gamma tint, etc. I am so frustrated. I wish I could just return the TV. Don't buy this TV, it's a waste of your money
Recently purchased a QE85QN90DATXXU and I cannot recommend it unfortunately I am a huge Samsung fan and have many of their products but the anti-glare coating on this TV is terrible with horizontal and vertical banding making daytime viewing of any dark scenes practically unwatchable, check out my pictures for evidence. Not sure if other sizes are also affected but stay away from the 85" version.
