SAMSUNG Q-series 11.1.4 ch. Wireless Dolby ATMOS Soundbar + Rear Speakers with Q-Symphony HW-Q990D

this thing is amazing. i wanted to get a soundbar that i could hear clearly what was being said and that would get LOUD. Blown away by this sound system. easy to set up and sync with my Samsung tv that i bought specifically to go with the soundbar. if i had one wish, it would be that the bass hits harder. it's plenty good enough for most people and anything you're watching but i was really hoping it would rattle the windows out of my house. might see if i can buy any supplemental speakers to help with that. All in all, I'm very impressed and glad i decided to buy what was rated at the best sound system of 2024. I've got it playing Spotify thru my phone right now and the sound is so clear and tight.

I paired this soundbar with a Samsung 98” QLED, it is amazing, no need to go to the theater again! I read a lot of reviews on this soundbar before I purchased it. Quite a few mentioned that the bass from the sub was inadequate. To those of you that are not satisfied with your bass, relocate your sub to a corner of the room with the port facing one of the walls. You're welcome!

Dolby Atmos on the Q990D is insane — you really feel effects moving around and above you, especially with the rear speakers. Dialogue is crystal clear, bass is powerful, and everything from movies to PS5 gaming feels like a real theater experience. If you want true Atmos immersion, this is it.

It makes movies sound so incredible and with the surround as well as Dolby Atmos it felt like I'm in the movie itself when arrows or bullets passing through from one side to the other or from front to back. Still can't believe how it was so easy to setup and configure using the Smart App. Definitely my best buy of the year!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Sonos Arc, Sub, and two One SL speakers in my basement, but this system completely blows it out of the water. The dialogue clarity alone is far superior to what I get from my Sonos setup. It also pairs well with easy setup for my Samsung tv.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned a lot of soundbars over the years from mid-range Sony setups to Kilpsch soundbars and I can confidently say the Q990 is the best one I've ever experienced. The moment you fire up a Dolby Atmos movie you'll understand why this is the flagship. Height effects are incredibly precise, rain falls from above, helicopters swirl around the room, and explosions have real weight and rumble thanks to the monstrous wireless subwoofer. Dialogue is crystal clear and when you switch to music, the wide soundstage and punchy mids make everything from classical to rap sound alive and detailed. Every time friends come over they're blown away and immediately start asking “how much was that?!” Worth every penny for serious home theater fans. Highly, highly recommended. 10/10.

Got mine in just a week and i'm in Cebu. This replaces my Q990B Soundbar and while there definitely is no significant design changes, the sound quality is a bit better. Bass is more pronounced, the mids and highs are more in sync with the sub and are a bit more detailed and emphasized. The Q-Symphony with my OLED S95C is superb. Overall a better experience but i would say you won't miss as much of a feature if you already have the Q990B or C.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, very happy with the sound system only should I have is that my four-year-old Samsung TV cannot work with this new Q symphony, Samsung should fix that with firmware update. Also, the space should have been stronger to feel the whole room, which is my biggest complaint.

I received a different product from what was described. I ordered the Q990D model, but I received the Q900F model instead.
