Great for labeling
I got these to label the tops of my spice jars. The metallic ink stands out and is readable against most colors. They're a little difficult to get started, but once the ink reaches the nib they write well.

To the (fine) point
These markers are great for initialing tools and other items. The fine point makes it easy to make small lettering unlike a regular permanent marker.

Sharpie is an awesome brand - always has been! Great pens. I wish they were permanent ink, though.

Very dry, hard to get started and hard to use. Not very metallic.

Long-ish story turned as short as I could.
These paint markers are to thin for my taste but if someone just needs thin ones then these would work. Right after opening the paint markers I had a rough time. I use paint markers all the time so I know exactly how to open them then get them to work properly. The silver marker took quite a while to get working properly. But then the gold marker just would Not work at all. I tried for about 10 mins but when i thought i got it, I was wrong. It broke. Started leaking out all over from the tip of the marker. I was so upset. :(
