Although these are a considerable amount of work to assemble, the instructions are very clear and concise. the finished product is beautiful, We couldn't be happier.

Good quality and fairly easy to put together. I picked this since it seemed to match my entertainment unit since it's espresso. It ended up matching really well. As long as you following the instructions step by step, you won't have any problems. They are very easy to follow. I would suggest to label all the pieces with the letter label using post it's. Some are clearly labeled, some are not. It just makes things easier when you need to grab the next piece. One of the shelves had a crack in it but ordering the replacement shelf through Sauder was so easy, and I got it very quickly. I'm overall very satisfied!

The library will be used to display pictures and mementos on the open shelves and books in the lower section. Packaging was outstanding as all pieces arrived without damage. Directions were very good, especially with the packaging of the hardware in individual pouches. The following are two suggestions to improve steps 16 and 18: There are two shelves (H) and Moldings (Q) so make the statement plural. Also, I had to remove one of the angle brackets (5G) when installing the lower shelf (H) in step 18, maybe because I chose the middle hole for the metal support pins. Perhaps a note to remove and reinstall the pins on one side after the shelf has cleared the angle bracket.

I put this together alone in about 2. 5 hours. Im not the handiest person but the instructions were very simple with easy to understand illustrations. The bookcase looks much more expensive than I anticipated. It has a nice weight that feels secure and compares in quality to a similar piece I was almost willing to pay 4x as much for.

I like the color/finish coordination with the desk and file cabinet. Needs to be at least 4" deeper for legal size paper like most other bookcases. Doors don't completely close due to this.

Love these book shelves. Looks great with my new house. My only hate with these is the fake backing. For as much as I paid for them I was hoping for actually wood backing not fake thin backing.

I suppose for the price, I should have suspected this, but the materials are cheaper than expected and some parts didn't fit quite right.
