Sauder Shoal Creek Engineered Wood 4 Drawer Chest in Oiled Oak

My husband was able to put this together in about 3 hours. This unit looks great in our bedroom. We just needed some extra storage for my clothes and baby clothes. It exceeded expectations! It looks very nice. We did have some drawers that wouldn't open after we got it together but that was due to the weight limit. It's a great purchase and beats paying $400+ in a furniture store. I love it!

Our teenage daughter's room is very small and we are on a tight budget, so we were looking for inexpensive furniture with plenty of storage space, without the furniture looking too juvenile. We bought the Sauder Shoal Creek Soft White armoire, four drawer chest, mates bed, and bookcase headboard. We are pleased with all of this furniture. It is a very good value. Granted it's not high-grade fine furniture; but for the price we paid, it is great! The four-drawer chest provides lots of storage space and looks great, too. It took some time and effort to assemble, but it is worth the time and effort! Overall we are very pleased with this purchase!

I bought the double wide (6 drawers) dresser, the tall (4 drawers) dresser, the headboard, and the toy box. I cannot recommend this brand enough! I love it! It's very pretty, heavy duty, and easy to assemble (myself - I am a woman, and a 13 year old put it together). The only flaw I could find is the cardboard backing that they use. I would have liked a real back.

It came on the day it was promised to arrive. Good. Packed well with extra heavy cardboard corners on the outside of the box. Good. Every part was in the box. Good. All undamaged and in perfect condition (I think the outside extra corners helped with damage control). My 12 year old son and I put it together in 2.5 hours. They ask you NOT to use an electric screwdriver. That is ok because all of the screws went in very easily for us. All of the screws and hardware come in one bag. I suggest that you separate all hardwood on a tray before starting the assembly. Made it much easier for us. No glue needed. Drawers worked well and the color of the unit (oak) is exactly like it shows in the photo. All good! Don't expect pure solid hardwood here, but for the price, it was a great buy. IF all of those things come together for you, I am sure you will be happy you purchased it.

We just wanted a simple, inexpensive dresser for our 6 yr. old daughter. Obviously at the price, it's not made of solid wood throughout but this is a very solid piece (& heavy). The drawers pull in & out very smoothly on gliders and it is a perfect height for our daughter. Love the safety feature of only one drawer being opened at a time - the piece also includes a safety mount for the wall. As others have stated, the top drawer is not divided but we are fine with that since we knew that when we bought it based on the other reviews. It took my husband several hours to build but that was expected so no surprises there. The delivery process & product condition were great! I feel this piece is well worth the money spent & surprisingly met our expectations.

This is a great quality dresser for the price. It is a bit time consuming so be sure you have at least 3-4 hours for the process. It took us 3 hrs to assemble the first dresser and 2 hrs for the second one. This dresser is very heavy and great quality. The pieces went together easy. The runners on the drawers adjust so if your drawers are crooked or they stick the adjustment to the runners fixes this issue. The drawers have a safety feature only one can be open at a time. So if you are having issues opening a drawer be sure all the others are closed completely. These are very elegant looking. We love them. I would advise to put this together close to where you will be setting it as when assembled it is quite heavy. We had to use furniture gliders under the feet to move this in place.

This is a strong and sturdy dresser. The drawer assembly rivals much more expensive furniture. We bought this for a dresser/TV stand for a second home. We like it so much we are planning to get another Sauder chest for the bedroom TV in our primary home. It takes some time to assemble but the instructions are thorough and easy to follow. So, if you have the time and skill to assemble, this is a great buy.

We've been living with this chest for a few weeks now and we're very happy with it. Overall, it looks a little better than I expected. Yes, you can tell that it's "assembly-required" furniture if you look closely. You're not going to mistake it for a real, solid oak piece. That said, it's one of the nicer assembly-required pieces that I've seen. It's sturdy and well-constructed. Drawers fit well and slide easily. Instructions were easy enough to follow, just organize your pieces/ parts before you start and *take your time.* I'm a petite woman and managed to put this together by myself. (It's quite heavy, so you might want to work on the assembly fairly close to where the piece is going to be when it's finished.)

I love this dresser but as I was assembling it, bottom drawer is messed up. Now I have a brand new dresser but not in a good shape and I payed over $200

I purchased the 3 piece bedroom set for my 4 year old daughter as a Christmas gift, as she had out grown her toddler bed. The reviews I read seemed great and led me to feel confident enough to make the purchase however, the quality and sturdiness of the dresser is very poor and the set did not come with all the screws for the dresser draws, so now I am going to Home Depot to get screws. The wood is made extremely cheaply and continued to chip apart as her father and I tried to set it up. The first dresser drawer did not contain the 3 seperate compartments as advertised. Don't waste your money, buy a higher quality dresser or bed room set.
