Well designed.. the safety spout mechanism is better than others I have used, but I found it somewhat difficult to disengage the lock to unscrew the spout from the container. The dual handle design is very useful, making the container easier to manipulate and pour fuel from. Opening the spout to pour fuel is much easier to use than other safety spout designs I have used in the past. Only time will tell if the spout mechanism's design will hold up; overall, I prefer simpler spout designs. I appreciate the sturdiness of the container materials, and really like the 'five-gallon' level mark that is molded into it. Being able to see the actual fuel level through the container is a definite plus as well. Overall, I highly recommend this diesel fuel container.
I have quite a few of these tanks around the farm for the power outages and diesel equipment. They've held up well. I like the two handles. Downsides: The green fuel release button has a fairly strong spring, and requires some grip strenght to open. Next problem, the fuel flows out of the can slowly so the green button must be held for a long time which can further stress your hand. I still use these cans though because I've had problems with plastic breaking on their major low cost competitor cans.
Was super skeptical about the Scepter nozzle on this can because it looks quite complicated from the photos. Once it arrived, I filled it with diesel, took it right up to the tractor and realized that the design could not be simpler! Once the can is tilted over my fuel port, I simply disengage the safety and pull back on the lever to dispense the fuel. No drips, no mess. Having the top and side handles makes manipulating the can very easy even when full. Very glad I chose this product, I will be searching for replacement Scepter nozzles for my gas and kero containers if available!
I bought 2 of these because they had the better reviews compared to others. They actually are pretty good. My son had no problems with them. They pour a little slow when filling the Zeroturn but it has a big tank. They have good release for the pressure and all. I will definitely purchase again.
My first time buying the new type of diesel can. I found a YouTube video on how to use it and put a ladder next to my oil tank entry. It works out well.
Well , we bought it because the locking mechanism is on the other ones this one you just squeeze with your hand, but it doesn't work like that. It's a pain in the butt still.
It's ok but a little hard to push so fuel will come out, I started just filling up just halfway and it's easier for me to hold and push, don't know if they have a 2 1/2 gallon one
nothing it works great and holds gas like it should i definitely recommend this to anyone who needs nore gas and a bigger nicer gas can .. i will buy from them again.. thank yall and god bless
This is a nice heavy duty, thick walled, fuel can with a handle on the top and a handle on the side, which makes for easy lifting and easy pouring. the 90° spout makes for easy pouring. I just tilt the can over and the spout goes right into my heater i was filling up., but the button on the spout is really hard to push. But the worst part of the can is the plastic filter underneath the spout. When I first bought the jug, i took it to the gas station to fill up with diesel, it wouldn't let enough fuel flow through and the gas pump nozzle kept clicking off. I'd have to just do it over and over and over, so I only poured about a gallon and when i got home i tore out that plastic filter, and went back the next day to finish filling the can. A filter's nice, but way too much trouble for what it's worth! After the filter fixed, I would say it's worth buying. Hopefully the spout button will loosen up and become easier to push. So I recommend buying it.
First of all, this is the very first fuel container I've seen with the so-called spark arrestor insert. Granted my containers for other fuels may be older, but this container is strictly designed for diesel. Well, I went down to fill it up with off-road diesel and the spout barely fit into the top of the spark arrestor insert. It does not slide down into the spark arrestor as shown on their website. Needless to say it took me forever to fill the five gallon container. I was able to tighten the spout securely enough that I did not see much if any leaking on my drive home. I did find the safety spout to work pretty well once I depressed the lever and the fuel started dispensing. Unfortunately, it would not empty the last half a gallon or so of fuel that was in the jug so that was disappointing. It's too bad these manufacturers just can't leave well enough alone regarding fuel dispensers. Again my main problem with this unit is that I could not get the nozzle for the off-road diesel down into the jug. So perhaps this diesel fuel is only for the low sulfur diesel at the regular pumps. But if that's the case, it should have stated that. Now I have to figure out how to get the rest of the fuel out of the bottom of the jug. If the manufacturer reads this and can let me know that would be greatly appreciated. And of course the jug is now five to six dollars less than when I bought it just a couple days ago. Go figure🙄
