Can is great but, the spout is crap. I use an EZpour spout and cap, everything is good. Also, I remove the plastic insert. Maybe they are calling it a flame arrestor. I find it anoying.
this item is strong. and is capable of taking a beating. and something that everybody should have for emergency purposes. and to top it off made in the United States of America. by the way I posted some pictures. and one of the pictures you're going to see the gas vent and I bought that. I upgraded it because it's way better and easier. the plastic tends to break this is going to be for a long time there. but this 5 gallon gasoline tank is amazing I have to I really recommend it. for the house for the car for long trips for camping you name it.
I wanted a simple to use gas container that didn't require 3 hands to use safely. I also didn't want to spend a fortune for containers that simply hold fuel. These fulfilled my needs. This brand is capable of using multiple types of filler caps to suit your needs.
I bought this SCEPTER gasoline can to keep in the trunk of my car. Seems really well made and sturdy. Great size for lawn mowers, generator's, etc. A must have for any car owner.
They seem to be solid plastic cans; I expect them to last for a long time. But why has the ring that serves to screw on the spout to be secured with a gear lock? What's the reason for that? So that a child cannot unscrew it? Maybe it's a regulation and some government bureaucrat came up with this "safety" feature. What am I missing here? After much frustration to unscrew the rings from my three cans, I just cut off the base plastic locking piece and everything works fine now.
purchased online at sale price, however didnt realize it only had one handle on top. no back side handle to assist when dispensing when it is full.
the spout worked the first time i used it and never after. it is impossible to get even half of the gas in the mower. the other half ends up on my hands and the ground. and i can never find a funnel when i need it. these spouts should be outlawed.
Not happy, I went to fill them up at the gas station and I couldn't even get the nozzle in the can to fill it up. The filter insert was keeping the nozzle from going in and allowing me to fill it up and when I tried I got gas all over the place cause it wouldn't go in so I stopped, went home and pulled out all the white plastic filter inserts and went back to the gas station and then filled them up.
this gas can was impossible to use. The funner would not come off it would not dispense the gas. i had t0 make my own funnel out of paper n pour it, losing some gas. the diirections were confusing on tbe funnel provid. i purchased several gas and kept getting delayed. I finally had to pay a lot for this one and take all the other ones back as they showed up
Too expensive to ship plus they added a tip for the driver...a postal worker! Was mistakenly ordered, cancelled within seconds but still was charged and shipped. Not a good experience!
