best darn charger I have ever owned and I used a good napa charger for many years, but they just are not what they used to be. this charger from WM allows me to control how fast it is charging and tells me the percentage of the battery charge. it also will not charge a bad battery, which is a safety mechanism that may prevent the battery from exploding, which is a very real possibility. I liked them so much that best darn charger I have ever owned. and I used a very good napa charger for many years, but they just are not what they used to be. this charger from WM allows me to choose how fast to charge it ,and it has a safety mechanism that prevents it from charging a bad battery, thus reducing the chance of exploding (it does happen). I liked it so much (I did not buy the company) but I did buy 4 of them!

I am very happy with this Schumacher battery charger. It is light weight and easy to carry with the built in handle. The cables and battery clips are of good quality, and it is rated for 15 amps fast charging. I have noticed in the reviews that some of them don't work correctly and damage batteries by overcharging. These reported failures look to be "infant mortality" kind of thing that electronic products typically have. I checked my unit by putting it on my unused car's battery. It started automatically at the 15 amp setting and when I came back a couple of hours later it had progressed through to the maintenance/de-sulfation mode with the green LED lighted. This unit is NOT a booster pack though it looks like one, and it cannot assist with starting current.

This unit will test your battery for isssuse and solve any that maybe present. I automatically knows the type of battery. You can fast charge or trickle charge.

Had Three 3 NOCO chargers and all three failed. I used the Schumacher within minutes of receiving. This thing worked great saved two batteries showed dead by the NOCO chargers. It's a real battery charger/maintainer so glad I bought ….

I have only used this little charger a couple of times. So far it's been fantastic! You can set it up on the battery and forget it, it automatically switches to maintain mode when charged. It's not huge but it's fine for me. Extremely easy to use. Long cords/cables.

Very happy with this so far. I can see what is happening. The 15 amp charge speeds things up. Bad battery notification worked. Charged a couple others for fun, all good. I had a cheap 4 amp one from a place and returned it. I did not know what was going on.

I just finished charging 6 - 6volt golf cart batteries! Each took 6-10 hrs each, but each one I know now are in good shape at 100% with max volts! The factory 36v charger is fine, but it doesn’t charge each one or tell if one is weak! You could also charge 2 at a time using the 12v, which charger would read automatically! It also tells you if your battery is bad! Hard to beat!

Ordered 2; 1 for my husband, the other for my Son-in-law. Had bought one of the more expensive ones (different brand) from Harbor Freight for my son-in-law last year. My husband has a Shumacher over 30-years ago and it is still works great. He had requested a new one that had trickle down charging after the battery was fully charged for over at the boat dock. He will use his old one here at the house. If this one lasts like his original one, it will be fabulous charger! I highly recommend the Shumacher brand.

Had a dead battery so figured we would invest in a charger and glad we did. This charger was able to charge our battery in our Trailblazer from 1 amp to full charge in about 3 hours. I did have a issue in the beginning with it showing a full charge after only about 40 minutes but after disconnecting the power and reconnecting it, it worked find. Very easy to use and never got hot or warm. I would recommend this charger for the price and ease of use.

As MANY other people have learned, this charger is a battery cooker! The charger appears to work but when the charger says the battery is at 100%, it goes into maintenance mode according to the LED, but still keeps cranking out 15 amps. I have been in contact with Customer Service VIA e-mail and they just stopped responding so please Schumacher, don't answer with some fake care message. THIS CHARGER IS DANGEROUS! If the user believe this is an automatic charger and lets the battery stay on the charger, there is great risk of serious damage.
