Scotch Delicate Surface Painter's, 0.94 in x 60 yd, Purple, 1 Roll

I had to have painter's tape that could be put down on a recently painted surface without damaging it when removed. WalMart always comes through.

They liked the flexibility, the adhesive quality without residue, and the easy on and off. We were especially glad that our faux painter used it on the numerous interior walls she painted for us without running the risk of damage.

I was a professional painter for several years, I recently received a roll of the Delicate Surface Painters tape as a sample from 3M. Wow, I wished I would have had this when I was painting for a living. It worked great on masking painted trim without harming the finish. I bought ScotchBlue Painters tape for freshly painted walls. I waited until the paint was thoroughly dry before using it, but upon removal, it also removed the paint. I then had to touch up all of the paint the it removed. That defeated the purpose of using the tape to avoid having to touch up, right? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I use this tape to cover a hardwood floor for my project and it was there for only 5 days when we finish our project we removed gently the tape and the tape came off with the clear of the hardwood floor and left the mark of the tape all around the house is not a good product

This tape was horrible from start to finish. At first the tape wouldn't stick on the walls, then we couldn't get it off the walls. The paint bled right through the tape EVERYWHERE!!!! Also when we went to take the tape off the walls it took our paint right off the wall with it. It's a totally worthless product, it saved us no time because now we have to go back over everything.

Wasn't on my porch as required.

[Employee of 3m-scotchblue] Used this to tape plastic to a smooth painted wood surface to protect a window from paint over-spray. We used this tape to protect the paint on the wood from damage. The surface was clean and dry and the tape was applied in 6-inch strips around the window. After an hour, the tape strips were peeling off and some were no longer adhering. Now, we have to re-tape the window (which is not an easy task from a high ladder!).

The tape peeled off the paint. We had to redo the ceiling outline and the walls.

This product does not work.  I painted stripes on my son's bedroom wall several years ago with standard blue painter's tape and it came out perfect (blue & red picture).  He is moving to a new room and I wanted to replicate it without the red stripe and decided to upgrade to Edge Lock tape this time (blue & grey picture) -- it came out terrible!  Think I need to paint over it-- what a waste!!
