Great for growing new grass in the PNW

Stephanie May 11, 2026

After moss killer (only in the PNW!), thatching, and aerating, we used this with lawn soil. After watering 1-2 times per day for a couple of weeks, our new grass is filling in the bare spots, or thin spots from thatching. I bought a second bag to use with leftover lawn soil for any small bare patches. It is super easy to use, and we are very pleased with the results.

The seed germinates with very little effort. It's great for the Pacific Northwest.

Finally!

Patrick Reape May 26, 2019

I have been trying for a year to get grass to fill in patchy yard. This time, I thatched, seeded and then put 1/4 inch of top soil then watered just enough for it to stay moist. Finally have the grass seedlings! I'm excited and I wish I would've adhered to the instructions better last year. They started to show at about the 1 week time frame, partly because nights have been really cool. I'm excited to possible have a green yard this year!

Great Seed, definitely use again!

Emoney103 April 26, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This by far is one of the best grass seeds I have tried here in WA. We ended up having a septic issue and had to tear up the back yard and this grass blended in so well with what we already have and came in quicker and fuller then others we have tried.

Yard is looking great!!

Chloe0136 January 16, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this during the spring with my weed and feed in the same spreader and it has been doing very well. The new grass sprouts quickly and is strong. I'm buying a couple more bags for next year for the bare spots.

Quality Grass Seed

John O May 6, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had some thin and bare patches in the yard from moss over the winter. After thatching I put down the seed and started to see results after about a week. I appreciate the blue color of the seed - helps greatly with the application process.

Good seed for Oregon weather

TrrexTodd August 10, 2019

Tore out old sod lawn, and did new seeded lawn with this Pacific NW blend. It germinated quickly ( majority of it ) and has been thickening up nicely over last few weeks. This was my 4th mow today, at 6 weeks since seeding. I put some ammonium sulfate on it at about 4 weeks, and it has REALLY taken off/ GREENED UP since then!! Super GREEN!

Looking good so far

Sweetiepeas June 3, 2016

I planted new seed on May 13th, by May 23rd I had several areas that were 2" long and some that were just peeking through the soil. I thatched and aerated my lawn, spread fertilizer, seed and then covered with peat moss. I watered daily unless it rained.
