Scotts Turf Builder Rapid Grass Sun and Shade Mix, 2.4 lb., Seed & Fertilizer

This seed worked great in a shady area! My prep included roughing up The bare patch after it rained, seeding and the sprinkling peat moss on top. I kept the area watered and didn't let it dry out. It came in fast, less than a week and looks very healthy after a month. I just hope it comes back next year!

If you follow the instructions on the product, you will have new grass and fill bare spots quickly, not overnight as some would like but within a few days you will see growth. Continue to water and pay attention to weather and it works.

Price was excellent, i felt. used in front entry to home. Was perfect for the need I was hoping for, quick coverage, quick growing. Still in growing stage, but great coverage so far. Impressed.

Scotts is one of the great nmes to buy for your lawn. Grass grows fast and your lawn looks great also.

i bouht this product to use on my recently deceased mother grave site,the soul is not the best,has some clay in it,after several weeks it only partially covered the area,but...i went back a couple weeks after that and the whole area was covered with grass!!keep in mind,it wasnt watered regularly, it comes with fertilizer mixed in with the grass seeds.it dies go on sale,so,if not needed right away, just wait until it goes on sale,buy i off season to save money and use it next spring,i would recommend

I did everything I was supposed to do and I got nothing. I was doing 1000 sq ft. I used a rototiller, put down Scott's turf builder, mixed in garden soil, manure, over seeded it, raked the seed in, then put a small amount of top soil on top and watered it religiously. Three sometimes 4 times a day. Never over watered it. After 2 weeks, I had nothing but a small patch growing. Now I have to start all over again with a different seed. I watched a video where a guy tried three different seeds and it didn't come up for him either. What did come up for him was Pennington smart seed. I am going to try that.
