Scotty Powerlock Fishing Rod Holder with Mount

I mounted it on my kayak next to my more expensive Canon rod holder and it's the same except cheaper priced

Product received was sent in timely fashion and well made. I price checked other web sites and found this one to be the cheepest and the shipping cost very reasonable. The only down side was I paid for this with a debit card and my bank put a hold on the card because they had prior fraudulent dealings with walmart.com. This was done for my benefit without notification.

They are great on my little boat for trolling and still fishing. I wish I'd have gotten 4 of them to save the shipping cost. Wish they stocked them in my store

Was set on paying $25.00 or more for each one of these (I got four) on other sites but when I saw them here for $18 and change each there was no question or hesitation on my part to buy them, cheapest price anywhere

I replaced an Attwood Rod mount that worked ok but Scottys mounts have more adapters that you can buy and swap out. Attwood doesn't sell anything that you can use in their holders. The Scotty rod holder works well on my spinning rods and baitcaster too.

I like these rod holders, they are secure enough and with the dual use mounts, side or top, they offer flexibility in mounting. On some of these packages Scotty only offers a flush mount, which I don't like. So when I saw these, compared to the ones in the local store, definitely had to pick up a few and they were eight dollars cheaper which is always nice.

I now have a few of Scotty rod holders. I like their design and strength. I like the fact that the holder has to be rotated 180 degrees before it can be removed. Some of the others pull up and out without rotating. Walmart had a better price than I could find anywhere.

Rod holders worked great. Low price and fast delivery.

This rod holder appears designed for bait casting reels to which it works well. It's not much good for spinning reels without serious modifications, Which I have not done as yet.

These are nice sturdy rod holders but they cannot be used with spinning reels. I was going to put it on my kayak but it's doesn't work with small rods or spinning reels. This is better for bigger reels. I would have been better off with a Scotty Baitcaster/Spinning Rod Holder or Cannon.
