Seachoice 1.5 lb Versatile Folding Grapnel Boat Anchor

I have been looking for an anchor small enough for my float tube for a very long time that was not going to cost an arm and a leg and in this product, I found what I needed and the cost was great.

Get one of these and some para-cord and you can rig up a trolley system for your fishing kayak. Go online for easy information/videos. No need to buy a $30+| anchor set. Unit folds up nice and locks in place. Has shackle to add some chain to make the anchor more effective. The price is great... I got four, for my two kayaks and two jet skis

I love this thing. It is small, 1.5lbs, but has great holding power. We use it every time we go river tubing. I put this anchor on about 15 feet of line with a carabiner at the end. Sometime we want to slow our float speed, so we just hook the line to one of the tubes and toss anchor. We've had a dozen people in tubes and 4 cooler floats all tied together and this little anchor held us all without any problem.

Works good for my kayak and canoe, good price, does the job.

Small but is being used for kayak. Would be too small for larger boat than 10 ft kayak. Can easily stow in kayak.

I have used this on a river, and in the ocean, it works perfectly. I would suggest to add a piece of pool needle to your rope in case you have to cut away for any reason, this way you can retrieve your anchor.

This is a very small anchor, reasonably well made with decent galvanized coating. The swivelling retainer for the flukes does not really lock into position, so pulling on the rode or jerking the anchor around after it has been deployed could possibly enable the flukes to unintentionally fold up. It's a cheap item that should serve your purpose on a very light displacement boat. Just be aware that the flukes do not lock securely.

Did not realize how tiny it was! We taling small. Maybe it will be fine for the kayak but that is all! Few days after buying it I saw the same thing but bigger for a dollar cheaper in the Walmart store! Wish I would of bought that one, Kind of dissapointed!

This anchor sounded ideal however after receiving and seen its actual size and weight, it really is useless except as a paperweight. But has not helped one bit and preventing my kayak from drifting because it is too small and too light.
