Sevin Garden Insect Killer Ready to Use Dust, 1 Pound Can

It can be bought cheaper than at Wally's, but this is a great product. I've been using it for years against ants in my okra patch, under pavers, and in my flower pots. I use it sparingly in the garden, not on the roots but inches away, and two or three days before I harvest my okra. Can be used in pots, with a light hand, without harming flowering plants.

I asked a beekeeper how to stop cicada killer bees from nesting in my lawn and he said there is no better deterent/killer than Sevin powder. Although it's a true shame to kill bees, these Giant bees were taking residence in my back yard yearly and they created what looked like a mine field with the number of mounds. It doesn't help that they are Gigantic bees. I only had to use this one season (sprinkle some at every entrance hole until you no longer see activity) and they decided to go elsewhere. I have since used it the same way to rid my property of the ground stining bees (little devils) and the large ants which kill trees. Excellent product.

I started getting these ant hills all over my back yard. I first tried ant dust the terro brand and it did nothing. More ant hills showed up. I tried that brand for about 6 weeks. I then bought this brand and the ants were gone in 2 days. Awesome product. Highly recommend.

well I had bought some really good dirt that I didn't realize was going to cause a lot of bugs so my dad recommended this product and it is a really great product so far I have not seen any damage to my plants or a lot of bugs They are slowly starting to really leave and there was a lot at first and now there's almost none

My hibiscus was covered with insects. After applying the dust the insects were gone in a few days. I also sprinkled on a few ant nest and it worked wonders. This is the best product I have tried to kill ants. The ant mound dies. Normally, other products that I have purchased just moves the ants to another location. This product actually works to kill the pests.

Garden Season is upon us again and this is a must-have for cabbage. I've used this for years and not only for cabbage. It's effective and that's what you need when you put all that hard work into a garden. I do find it a little more expensive than it used to be and I use it sparingly. I have not seen it sold by the bag for a few years and wonder why? It was nice just to refill the canister and certainly better for the enviroment than all that plastic waste.

well they have upped the price of it just like everything else but it's still at a reasonable price. I don't have any tools so I like to have never found something to get the top open. you do have to unscrew the lid to take the security paper off of the opening then scre lid back on. But to open the very middle of the top snaps open and closed. I had to look for a flat head screwdriver or butter knife. it was the knife I found first. ok I looked inside and I understand that powder compacts as it settles but there was a lot of powder missing. over a quarter amount. if I had a set of scales I would have double checked the weight. but the stuff is very easy to use. so far seems to kill most of the bugs it's ment to its only been 2 days so I have to check my trees n the other places I put it to see if it's killed what it's supposed to. I wish it had cover a larger area because now I got to buy maybe 2/3 cans more to cover the areas that I need to cover. it's very easy to sprinkle the dust onto everything and if it's a place out of reach you can squeeze the plastic bottle and it comes out with the air and blows a pretty good distance.It has no smell and I actually used it on a windy day and it still went where it was supposed to as long as you hold the can close to where you need to sprinkle it. Yes I would recommend it to others. I don't know if it has killed the frleas they are a super tough bug to kill. I'll check tomorrow to see if it got rid of the black and red ants and the snails and slugs I was trying to kill out and off my property. I didn't get it to use on my plants/flowers yet that will be what I use the next can for. oIll update this review when I see how it does the job on keeping the bugs from eating all the leaves on my plants.

More than 1/2 of the powder missing out of shake container. Someone needs to do better. Too expensive to only receive 1/4 of product! I got ripped off!

I got 2 of these…. When my sister opened them, one was sealed and one was not. They are both less than half full…. Definitely NOT worth the price…. Will go to HD next time
