Love it and is great for kids who refuse to have their temperature taken. Highly recommend!
Works really well so easy to use
My household fell sick and using the old thermometer was not going well. I decided to grab this one, it was on sale so that was a bonus, got it the next day and when we used it - WOW. Nearly seconds to get the temperature. No more sticking anything under your tongue and waiting. I am so glad I now have this at the house and it is at our disposal if we need a temperature immediately. Comes with batteries which is another huge plus when it arrives, you're not feeling well and you want to know if you have a fever or not. This is definitely a great thermometer. I would recommend this product.
Most of these types of thermometers are less than accurate. I have bought and returned a number of these and have always found them to be unreliable, misreading a temperature by several full degrees. This one is actually quite accurate! I am pleased to finally have found one that works.
It's simple to use and has a helpful guide with it I do tend to check my beck and armpit too but it's primarily meant for headaches I feel sometimes it's a little to surface based than internal temp keep in mind if you use it on armpit or neck it's more than likely to be a bit warm like that it shows grrrn for good red for feever yellow for low grade and green for good. It beebs different too if you have a fever. I like that it has a pouch to be in and the text is lardev to read.
I didn't read the description close enough, too much of a hurry. I didn't realize it was an IR thermometer. I'd judge it to be pretty accurate, both body temp and air/surface. I was outside, curious, checking the air temp, A cloud bank covered the sun and it registered the substantial drop in temperature. Also, having the no-touch, instant temperature reading for body is helpful when you're dealing with squirmy four year old twins.Anyway, it works, and Sharper Image got it to me next day.
I'm so happy with this thermometer. My previous thermometers have all been under-the-tongue ones. These work fine, but always caused me pain due to my torus mandibularis. On top of that, you have to deal with cleaning and sterilizing the thermometer if you have other people in the house. This non-contact thermometer is not only lightning fast, it is non-contact, so you don't have to worry about cleaning it (as much - of course if you're sick and touch the thing you should clean it before you put it away). It has a great feature where you can use it for fevers but also switch it to read surface temperatures of things in the room - that's pretty cool. It's so fast to take a reading, and the screen is color coded green-yellow-red to let you know if you have a fever without needing to put your reading glasses on. For some reason digital thermometers read me at lower than normal temperature, and this one is no different. Everyone in my family seems to run cooler than 98 degress, but it's consistent so I have to assume the accuracy is good. Very nice thermometer.
This comes with a nice drawstring bag and very simple instructions. I had to resort to a new thermometer that's easier to use on my toddler. It takes seconds to use and the red, yellow, green light lets me know if their temperature needs to be monitored more. The high temp alarm is nice to have too! Hold about an inch and a half from the forehead, click the temp button and done! It even has memory so it's easy to keep track of previous temps.
This product is easy to use. It seems to be pretty accurate. It is nice to be able to take a temperature of a sleeping child without having to wake them. It does have a beep, but it is able to be silenced. Has a memory function to keep track of previous temperatures. The display is nice and large, as well as lights up different colors depending on the temperature- green, yellow, and red. It does a quick read, as long as your patient stays still.
Not sure if it actually worked.
