It might not include the air pump, but oh boy, does it work wonders with one. A combination of beauty and utility, it impressively handles tanks even up to 20 gallons. Just phenomenal!

I don't understand the design. The filter has no suction cups, weighted base, or any other way to keep it on the bottom of the aquarium. It constantly floats, which defeats the purpose of a sponge filter. The product description doesn't mention this or explain that you'll need to find your own way to keep it submerged. I expected it to stay in place on its own, but instead I had to improvise. This design needs to be improved
