Make sure you scrape the excess paint off before you use it. The pad holds more than you'd think and it will drip if you don't wipe it off on the paint tray. Worked great for me. Big time saver.
Loved this straight edge painter. Very easy to use and hold. Just place the wheels side of the edger against the ceilings and/or woodwork and it glides on perfectly! You get perfect edges with no bleeding or using a rag to wipe off your mishaps.
most perfect paint tool they have ever made
Best thing since sliced bread!
Best thing i bought all year. Literally cut prepping down more than half and painting was a breeze. Literally only taped baseboards from floor and window everything else i used the edger! GREAT quailty and wpulld recommened anyone to use it for the next paint job. Experinced or not, this thing has wheels that good with ease. So easy!!!
I'm always wary of products that just claim to do one job easier than doing it by hand. This is a rare exception. I just did three walls in a bedroom by hand and got an okay job by being meticulously careful at the corner of the walls and the ceiling. Then I went and picked this tool up last night. I just did the walls and ceiling of the fourth wall in about 5 minutes, and it's amazing how good it looks. The line is just a millimeter or so from the ceiling (which is good, as the corners are rarely straight on a ceiling line) and it was so easy to just run the edger along and keep moderate pressure on it - so much easier than tiring out my arm by cutting in with the brush. I used other reviewers' advice and basically loaded the pad up with a brush rather than dipping it in a paint tray. If you get paint on the edges of the tool itself or on the rollers, I imagine it would ruin the task. But painting it on made for a nice clean load of paint. I didn't even bother trying to dip it directly in the paint after seeing how well this worked. I wouldn't use it on baseboards just because the rollers might be too high and the tool might slip, but I tape baseboards and paint over them with the existing color to "seal" the tape, and I never get any bleeding. I bought a set of replacement pads as well, but the one that comes with the tool is easily rinsed just like a brush and it seems like it might last for a few jobs at least. And it was under two bucks. Buy it.
Helpful , but you have to be careful because if it gets on the wheels or put too much paint on it , it doesn't work correctly
This item works great IF you apply paint to it with a brush. If you try and use a paint tray it gets all over the edges.
Didn't want to have to use tape…ended up having to - didn't get close enough to the edge as I needed. Just tape it and pass this up!
It seemed like it was going to work well, and it did for the first few passes. Once the edge of the pad gets wet with paint, it starts to leave paint on the unwanted part of the wall, unfortunately. I can do better with an angled brush, so I will continue with that.
