These are a life saver! before buying this size needle everything else broke while trying to sew thru thick denim. You still need to a guide under the foot to help it along( I use a thick piece of cardboard).

These are good, heavy-duty needles for a Singer sewing machine. These are ideal for mending or constructing jean material, or in fact, other heavier weight fabrics. I appreciate that they are still packed in a hard plastic case that can hold needles until they are needed.

After getting frustrated with needles breaking when hemming denim pants I took a chance and tried these out. So far the results have been great, I did break one early on but I was kind of rushing a bit so I hold myself responsible. They fit really well and are easy to thread with a nice size hole with good beveled edges. They are quality needles without a doubt. I also really like the case to keep them in too, it has a nice sliding lid to make it easy.

Making denim rag quilts and needed a stronger needle to cut through all the layers. These fit the bill, no problem sewing through the layers of denim, batting and flannel. These fit point on these is super sharp.tried to get a good picture hopefully you can see how precise the point is. Very satisfied with these.

I am reviewing the Singer Denim Heavy weight fabric needles. There are many reasons I like these needles in particular. I like to use these needles for garment sewing, I especially like and use them for rope basket creation. Rope basket creation takes a very sturdy and solid needle. One reason I like these needles is that the eyes on the needles are a bit larger to accommodate heavier threads. The needle itself creates a larger hole for bulkier fabrics. The larger hole also helps with multiple layers of fabric which better assures me more stable and solid stiches. The value of these needles is great in comparison to others. The reason for this is because the needles are more durable which results in less needle breakage. I can get a lot done with one needle, but of course, you will break them doing heavy fabric, or multiple fabric jobs, but the breakage is definitely less. The value and durability of these Singer Denim Heavy weight fabric needles just makes so much more economic sense to me as well as time going through multiple needles. These are my “go to” needles for the bigger and heavier sewing jobs I like to take on.
