These smoke alarms are very easy to install. they offer the 3M patches or screws, I chose the patches. The price was good at about $9.00 and they are small and compact. I would but again and recommend to others. The siren is very very very loud which is good should anything happens. Overall good product.

The detectors come with their own battery, like most do. They, also, come with two options for affixing to a wall - besides the usual base (for twisting on), there's also magnetic connecters with adhesive on both sides. Will definately purchase these again.

I was a little surprise how small this smoke detector was. I placed it in the basement and it works great. Our fireplace in the basement has set it off three times. It is loud enough to hear on the first floor of our home.

Awesome smoke detector. Easiest installation ever..I used the command strip which was included and the magnetic base. I would recommend, everyone should use these.

I couldn't use these because mine ended up being the hardwired ones but they were small, looked nice and came packaged well. I wouldn't hestitate to order these if I needed them.

I installed these smoke detectors around the house and so far I'm happy with them. The setup was simple and I liked that they came with a 10-year sealed battery, so there's no need to constantly replace batteries every year. The alarms are compact, modern looking, and not bulky on the ceiling. I also liked the magnetic mounting option because it made installation much easier. The alarm sound is loud enough to hear clearly, and the photoelectric sensor is a nice feature since it's supposed to respond better to slow smoldering smoke. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because this brand is not as well known as Kidde or First Alert, so long-term reliability is still something I'll have to see over time. But overall, they seem solid, easy to use, and a good value for the price.

Bought 3 Smoke detectors. Put them up using screws, didn't bother with the magnetic fastening. As some others said they would fall. So far all are in working order, no 3am beeps for a 9v battery change, yet. I hope the life of the detectors last, as says 10yrs.

I installed 5 throughout the house using the self stick method. Two fell off the following day, one from a ceiling. I put both back up. I like the idea of magnets making it easy to remove to change the batteries yearly though.

These are really small and would not go where the ones I was replacing were. I would like to send them back but I don't have the cover for the boxes to be held together. I never took them out of box. The would be great for someone that needs a small indiscreet smoke alarm. It is a good smoke alarm I just don't want to put it where the old one would show a mess.
