SKIL MS6316-00 10 Amp 7-1/4" Single Bevel Miter Saw with Compact Rail System & LED Shadow Line

Excellent budget saw. Bought for my fireplace mantle replacement project. This made precision cuts in the oak 2 x 8 I bought for it. With a finishing blade, it made effortless angled cuts. Mounted this on a folding Workmate project stand I have. Good match. Doesn't take up much room stored. Recommended.

"It's a very good saw. It's replacing a 12 inch miter saw that's about 15 years old. The Skil saw is smaller than most sliding miter saws and fits in the spot I have for it. The saw slides on the tracks and the tracks are stationary. I can put the saw up against the back wall of my miter station and still slide the saw. It does everything that I need a miter saw to do. I usually work with 3/4 inch thick boards, plywood, and trim. I can now cut 1x10s for shelves in one go. It uses standard ********* inch circular saw blades that are cheaper than the 12"" blades and readily available at home centers. The quality of the build is very good. The blade and fence were square out of the box. Fit and finish are good. It comes with a standard 24 tooth blade that I replaced with a finishing grade blade. The sliding action is smooth and cuts are accurate. The price was $40-$50 cheaper than I saw advertised at other vendors - which is why I purchased it. The deal was too good to pass up."

Excellent saw for the money. Cuts dead square right out of the box. The blade was surprisingly good and the overall power and cut capacity is adaquate given that it is a 7 1/4 inch saw. The LED drop shadow is a nice inclusion at this price level. I bought it to have as a light and portable second saw and am very happy with it.

I own the Dewalt cordless 7-1/4" miter saw and have previously owned the Kobalt corded version. I primarily purchased this Skil for small trim projects on the interior and exterior of my house flips. As of writing this review, I've owned the saw for approximately 4 hours. I've used it for 2 of those hours making many cuts in door and window casing, and chair rail so far. I'm very impressed with the features, including: The LED cut line indicator, this is a big help in lining up your blade right on your pencil line. The up front slide rails, which allow you to place the saw right up against a wall, thus is huge if you're working doing flooring in a hallway, or have limited space. The capacity of the saw for a 7-1/4 model is fantastic. The weight is another plus for me, 24.5 pounds is more than reasonable for moving the saw from room to room and job to job. The slide action is smooth. Dust collection is average, kind of typical with many miter saws. And lastly, the price is more than fair All in all, I'm impressed!!

I got rid of my old 12" miter saw. It was okay but too big. I only do picture frames now. This saw is perfect for that job. It is more accurate than the big saw and it is easy to move around in the driveway where I do frames.

Not a bad light weight portable compound miter saw that has a small footprint and is easily stored away although their is some room for improvement such as a longer grounded cord would be desirable also a dedicated cord wrap would be nice and to have extendable work piece supports even if they only would extend a few inches on each side would make a better tool. I got a clearance price so it beats packing my 58 LBS 10” miter saw into my house which takes up twice the space

Nice little saw. Gave up a 10” miter chop saw for this 7 1/4”. Does more than the 10”. I did have to square the fence and I replaced the stock 24 tooth blade with a 60 tooth. Having to square it was easy but that is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Great saw! The only reason why it's 4 and not 5 stars is the depth of the blade the recesses into the bottom. Some 1x4 trim peices I cut i had to flip and cut again. There is an adjustment to lower the blade but you have to slide the saw out. Again, great saw, only complaint.

This saw works as it should. The reason for the 4 star review is that the instructions were not clear even with pictures. My husband reads instructions all the time and he had to use AI to help him use this. Once figured out he said it works really well.

Saw is great however it does cut more then what you need to cut off this don't both me most of my cuts are accurate and on point enough least my issue is more so with customer service when I got my first one saw was weigh off and looked like it had been used prior and returned the blade arbor was so tight I damaged it getting it loose I had to send it back and get a replacement the replacement again is cuts more then what you need but not my much adjustments seem to be complex I can't figure out yet how to square the blade it's self but all and all good saw if you can go get it in the store do that avoid shopping online cause when it comes to returns Walmart is earful delivery drivers are bad to great product horrible customer service though I mean it's not perfect how ever this little sucker packs slot of power and I've built a 30 inch tv stand with it so far once blade is changed to a finer cut blade and blade is adjusted exaactly parallel with your shadow line it's even better but I can't complain it was 180$ saw and it does what I need it to do would buy again only I'm getting it from the store next time
