The best option when it comes to feeding small animals. I have two rabbits and buy their hay in bulk boxes like these and this price can't be beat compared to larger animal-centric stores.
Hay seems to be good. How fresh it is im not sure but it is ied out in the box. not put in any bags just stuffed in box. i find hay in plastic storage bags stays fresh longer.
I dont understand the bad reviews. The Kaytee hay and Carefresh we were buying have been looking terrible lately and the rabbits won't eat it. We have bought a few boxes of this and it's great. The rabbits love it.
These cases are always great quailty hay. I always get these for my guinea pigs and it lasts at least a month since I dint have a huge herd right now.
This is pretty good quality. We've ordered it 3 times, and each time it's better than what's in the bags. It's so compressed it breaks apart and lasts longer than the large bags.
I've bought maybe 6 boxes of this timothy hay now. Gonna buy some more today. My rabbits seem to like it! They like the Kaytee brand also, but didn't like the Grandpa's Best brand of hay. Per ounce, the Small World hay is less expensive than Kaytee's. I love the free Walmart delivery when I buy 2 boxes at a time! Cons: There's quite a bit of hay dust in these boxes, more than I've noticed in the bags of Kaytee hay, but still there's a lot of good hay in there for a reasonable price.
The first box we bought was fabulous, long fluffy pieces of hay. The second box wasn't even chaff. Dust mostly. Very expensive hay dust. Disappointment abounds.
You can buy 5x the amount for only $11 more, at Tractor Supply. Had been buying this for almost a year before I discovered that. BUT, if this is yall you can get, the bunnies will love it. And they definitely like it better than the other options at WM.
The hay was dry and crumbly in the box. As one other said, this was packed directly in the box so air flowed thru it. Also looked an realized this was no cheaper than the Kaytee Hay I had been buying so what I thought was a great value proved to be wasted money
this was very messy. the box was all beat up. and the guinea pigs only ate some of it. a lot of it looked more like straw than timothy hay and they would just throw it down. really wasn't worth it. they eat all of the other brand so it's not just them being picky.
