This is one of the few things that is still just like it was 50 years ago- well the price isn't the same, but the quality and taste is. The texture is just right, not too thick so it can't be spread onto toast, not too thin that it drips if you can't gobble it down quickly. Thanks, Smuckers (or whoever now owns them) for not fixing something that isn't broken.
This Smuckers pineapple preserves has a good amount of pineapple, excellent flavor, and texture. I use this as a topping on my banana splits, as a filling for thumbprint cookies, as well as, on bagels and toast. This also tastes delicious when used for miniature pineapple upside-down muffin cakes. Just melt a little brown sugar and butter together and place a spoonful inside each well of a sprayed muffin pan. Add a tbsp of the pineapple preserves, then top that with a prepared cake mix flavor of choice (I use the Great Value Yellow Cake Mix). Fill about 3/4 full and bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Take a knife and run along sides of muffin wells to loosen and then flip pan over onto a cookie sheet lined with foil. Be careful to not burn yourself. This makes the most yummy little pineapple upside-down cakes. I highly recommend.
I know this jam is really good because I have tried it before. Puerto Ricans use this flavor a lot and guava too.
My favorite is Apricot Pineapple Preserves, but appears it's been discontinued. I've been buying the Apricot Preserves and the Pineapple Preserves and combining them. It tastes exactly like my favorite!
My mom introduced me to this jelly and let me tell you ! This is amazing !!! The flavor !!! Oh boy !!!! You need to try it if you are into pineapple 🍍
I use this to make my microwave pizza into a Hawaiian... don't knock it until you try it! I also add it to banquet sweet and sour chicken dinners along with extra frozen white rice since I like more of each
Funny thing, but I don't use this as people usually would. I use it to make sweet and sour meatballs. I do remember my dad using it to make peanut butter and butter pineapple preserve sandwiches. Yes he added sliced butter to the peanut butter and jelly and absolutely loved it
I love love love love love this pineapple preserves on my homemade bread. I like making everything from biscuits to focaccia. And then I spread some butter while the bread is warm or going into an oven or mostly use my Dash Pizza Griddle to heat up bread quickly so the butter melts quickly. And then, about two tablespoons of pineapple preserves makes the snack perfect. Don't judge me for putting a lot of butter and preserves on my breads because you aren't eating it. Homemade bread is my favorite sweet treat lately. (After ice cream of course.) So I empty jars of preserves quickly. That is why I try to have several different flavors in my fridge all the time. If you aren't enjoying bread with butter and preserves several times a week, then you are missing out on a good thing. And you must apply the preserves generously. More preserves means more enjoyment.
I'd give this no stars if I could. Because of the way this computer shipped these. There was supposed to be 3 jars and there was. One jar the lid had came off and jelly had leaked everywhere. I don't trust consuming what is left in unsealed open jar. Don't think anyone else would either. This waste could of been avoided with a simple taping of the lids. Will not purchase from this third party seller again.
It does not taste like pineapple. Only sweet artificial sweetener. I was so looking forward to a flavor from my childhood in the 70s. It was terrible
