I love Smuckers preserves. They are the best.!!! Cost is good too. Especially love the orange marmalade. It’s not sugar free. They do have sugar free, but I buy the one with sugar. I mix a little of it with Smuckers sugar free brand. I like the raspberry or apricot. Gives a really great flavor with the mixture. .
I like to make orange marmalade meatballs and needed the strongest orange flavor possible, and Smuckers is the top choice. It's delicious on its own, and when compared to others, it has the most orange flavor. There is a lot of orange rind (zest) in this brand, and I like that too. It's my top pick. If I am going to take the time to make a recipe, then I want the best results for my efforts.
Sweeter and less bitter than some other brands. The pieces of orange peel are relatively small too, and less of them. This was a big hit with the family.
Even though I prefer Smuckers products of any kind, they continue to up their prices because they have that name-brand recognition. I use less than a teaspoon of marmalade on my English muffin, so a jar lasts me a long time. I have tried store brands and others, but they just do not have the quality, consistency and taste as Smuckers. Smuckers is the only marmalade I will buy.
it's funny, up until recently, the only time you would eat marmelade was at your grandma's house. something made me grab it and tried it on some toast and thought not bad. then as pb and j sandwich but the magic didn't happen until I pasted a layer onto some cheesecake. each of them complimented the other perfectly. I used a market fresh cheesecake I got at Walmart and it was perfect. try for yourself.
I love this marmalade! Great for all the usual uses, but one of my favorite is its role in a Spicy Honey Orange Sauce. 1/2 cup orange marmalade, 1/4 cup honey, 3 Tblsp Dijon mustard, 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, salt to taste (I use none). Fabulous sauce for accompanying Crispy Coconut Chicken.
This is Dad's favorite brand of Orange Marmalade and he likes it so much that he'll ask for it to be added to his Christmas turkey in a glaze and the dressing. If I had acquired a taste for it, I'd make a glaze for salmon, pork and meatloaf too. But I haven't, so I use the apricot preserves instead, and this will be our secret, ok?
This is a great value for orange marmalade. I've paid a lot more for "premium" marmalades that are equal in quality or only a tiny bit better (or just different) than this all around good product. We buy it by the case to make marmalade custard for church potlucks. Husband eats it on toast and muffins everyday. Will buy over and over!
This has been a favorite for years. I'm sure it's great on a PB%26J sandwich. It's great on biscuits. I especially love to have it on crispy Naan Bread toasted with a little butter or Pita Bread when I make an omelette.
First time ever trying "marmalade". Thought it would taste like real oranges. Instead, it tasted like the orange slice candies people use in old fashioned christmas cakes. Very sweet. NOT AT ALL what I expected....or wanted.
