What can you really say about vinyl tile? It came, it was white as expected, and it pealed and stuck as its supposed to. No idea the durability as Ihave just laid it aand would need to use it for a while to know. Beware shipping for this to the west coast takes approximately forever. .
Got them to put on the first level where my daycare is located! It just was beautiful. The tiles are a little thin, but very easy to apply. High gloss and bright. I put them down in two rooms and it just brightened and looked beautiful. Every one coming in noticed, and gave great compliments etc
Easy to install but material is very thin adhesive is ok
These floor tiles met my expectations very nicely. High quality tiles, good instructions, and very easy to install. Begin with two squared chalk lines where you want to start, and the tiles will keep everything square throughout the installation. Easy peel off back, and when you get to the edges of the room, super easy to cut (use a straight edge). My old garage floor has been transformed, from ugly to beautiful, and the garage now looks like another room in my house, or better yet, a suitable home for a Ferrari or Corvette.
Good looking product. Great deal
Item as described. Fast shipping. Seamless delivery. I am using these to line the bottom of my kitchen cabinets for easier cleaning. They are working great and I am pleased with my purchase.
I had some experience with this type of tile on a project some years back. For one, never trust the self adhesive stick on the back so I also bought some multi-purpose floor adhesive to adhere to the floor. I wouldn't expect what you would pay $80 a box for but I'm satisfied with it so far. Fortunately this floor was flat so I didn't have to put thin boards over it like on the previous project. The floor adhesive is a little messy and smells for a few days but is certainly worth the extra investment. Armed with a few cheap brushes I spread it lightly on the floor and then applied the tile. The tile is now on the floor rock solid and I don't have to worry about curling at the ends or similar problems. Also when laying your tile, always keep a bottle of mineral spirits and a few rags on hand as it will clean up any over usage spots of the floor adhesive as well as on your skin. Compared to other tiles, the Nexus is somewhat razor thin. You must exercise care and peel off the back adhesive sheet slowly and carefully or you'll risk chipping off a corner on the tile. In my case I broke several corners but they weren't a total loss as the last tiles on the ends of the room had to be trimmed 1/2 inch to fit. With the black tiles I purchased separately I've made a good checkerboard floor in my diner. Another commenter has said about the squares not being an exact 12 x 12 which I did find a few that yes were maybe 1/32 or 1/64 bigger. In those cases I just put them aside for use as end or corner pieces which would have to be trimmed to fit. No biggy. Finally I want to stress that the Nexus white tiles are indeed WHITE. Some of these other brands sold on e-bay and Amazon are not white but either off-white or even a light gray which that would upset me big time. This is the biggest point why I bought the Nexus as I knew from another comment that I would be getting a true white. That and the price, as $80 to $130 for a box such as Armstrong or other brands was just too steep. I also recommend having a shoes-off policy in your home to keep the floor tile shiny and not having to be rubbing out scuff marks among other things. Sweeping dog and cat hair is a chore enough.
This tile looks nice but did not stick to the floor. I had to go purchase extra adhesive and apply it to each tile to make it stick, which made for a very long, messy day. What should have taken a couple of hours, took all day. But again, they are nice looking tiles, just need a adhesive that works.
The only reason I’m giving the review I gave is because there was quite a bit of damaged tile. Scoffs scratches and cracks and chips. A few of them even had misprints which I didn’t realize until I was already pretty far into installing them and got to the multiples with cracks/chips and misprints and by then it was a little too late. I just feel the price doesn’t match the quality. But I will say they are very thick and easy to install.
The first order I had sent back because the 1st two boxes I opened has bent/cracked edges.......I re ordered AND I got the same thing including the glue not being sufficient to stay down, but I kept them anyway and used linoleum glue to keep them down. They must be old for the glue to dry off them, and improper storage and or shipping for All but 2 boxes not having bent edges..... ALSO...... I was trying to get $10.00 back off my 1st purchase but I COULD NOT DO IT.... the system kept telling me my email was invalid!!!!
