Solo New York Duane Hybrid Briefcase Backpack, Gray, Laptop Tote

Finally found the bag I will be using every day from here on out. This bag has everything I need for my day to day, which includes carrying a laptop and a tablet, charging cables, and plenty of extra zipper compartments for odds and ends. The bag itself is very lightweight which is a huge plus, and has a layer of internal padding to protect your electronics from bumping around. It works well as a stylish shoulder bag or briefcase, but the strap can also be converted into “backpack mode” if you’re riding a bicycle or just in a hurry and want a more symmetrical carry. A traditional backpack strap is hidden in a zipper compartment in the back of the bag for the left shoulder strap, and the shoulder strap converts to function as a right shoulder strap. Very clever design! It’s almost like an optical illusion the way the bag looks proper regardless of which way you choose to carry. Awesome product that I highly recommend.

The Solo Duane Laptop Briefcase to Backpack Hybrid is a very useful bag that looks great and has lots of room. The dark grey material with black accents and gunmetal zippers and zipper pulls combines for a very stylish look. The manufacturer logos on the bag are appropriately sized and don't make you look like a walking billboard for the brand. Inside the main compartment is a padded laptop sleeve that fit my 15.6" HP Pro Book perfectly. The laptop is held securely inside the padded sleeve by a strap a strap. I also fit several folders and notebooks in the main compartment along with my laptop and there was room to spare. The main compartment also has another padded pouch for a tablet. The main (larger) front pocket has 3 shallow sleeves that I used for my wallet and ID cards and one larger sleeve that I used to hold pens and a notepad. The other front pocket is perfect for chargers and cords. The other front pocket also has a zippered pouch on the front that was a perfect spot for my keys. The handles on top of the bag snap and strap together. Also, there is a shoulder strap with a shoulder pad that attaches to rings on the each end of the bag. On the backside of the bag is another compartment that holds the padded and adjustable backpack straps. You simply pull the straps out of the zippered compartment and clip the straps hooks into the rings attached to the bottom of the bag and viola! It's now a backpack! The only real concern I have is the overall durability of the plastic clips that attach the shoulder and backpack straps to the bag. However, they seem to be holding up just fine after a week of moderate use. Bottom line, this is is an excellent and versatile bag with great features that looks fantastic. It's a briefcase, messenger bag, and backpack all in one. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

This looks great! It is sturdy and has loads of compartments and lots of space for your laptop and other essentials. I gave this to my 18 yr old son and he can’t wait to take it with him to College! He is very picky so I am very happy he really likes it and will get a lot of use out of it. This is a very nice, quality made Laptop bag that can be switched from a backpack to a briefcase, very cool!

This is the perfect laptop bag. It has multiple zippered pockets on the front. The material is tough and can be wiped cleaned easily. The bag can either be worn as a messenger bag or a backpack. The backpack straps are padded. Inside there’s a pocket for your laptop and for a tablet.

Really happy with this laptop case. This fit everything for me while keeping it protected and organized. My laptop fits safely in the main padded area and my headphones and charging cable fit great in the smaller pockets. I love I can use it as a messenger style or a backpack it makes life alot easier when I'm on the go.

I'll start by saying that I do love this bag. This bag is so spacious. It has several pockets and little hidden spots. It is more on the manly side, I guess because it is a grey color. I wish they had maybe a flower type design or had the option to have other colors. The name mentions that its a briefcase, I personally dont see where it could be called a briefcase, maybe call it a messenger bag. However the bag itself is made very well, I do like the feel of the material that is used to make the bag, it seams to have the right amount of padding inside which is good because most bags are over padded and weights the bag down or not enough. But this 1 seams just about right. So far the only thing I dont like about this bag is the cheap, plastic hooks attaching the shoulder straps to the bag. They seem very out of place and on the cheap side considering how well made the rest of the bag is. BUT all in all I LOVE THIS BAG, and have sense bought my son 1 for his birthday, and I have recommended it to several people I know who carry work bags.

This briefcase/backpack hybrid is so cool! It’s really simple to switch from one style to another. It’s spicy inside so you can fit a few things in with your laptop. It’s a perfect size, not bulky like other bags but not too small neither. It’s a perfect bag for anyone.

This laptop briefcase to backpack is a great option for business or personal use. The straps for the backpack are comfortable and easily tuck away out of sight when you want to use the backpack as a brief case. When using the briefcase the shoulder strap is padded and sits nicely on your shoulder. The bag can hold your laptop and nice amount of files.

My husband has been raving about this bag! He’s able to use it as a backpack when he rides his motorcycle to work, and easily swap it back to a briefcase to walk into his business meetings. It has plenty of room for all of his normal essentials and then some. The material is very stylish, and I already purchased one for myself as well!

I got this laptop bag to carry my laptop with me to work, as well as on trips (on airplanes). The material seems durable and the zippers are easy to work with. The color (charcoal) is a great color for a bag because it matches with anything that you are wearing. The conversion between a backpack-style and a messenger type-style is seamless. The backpack straps conveniently hide away in a back compartment when not in use. So far, this bag has held up to a couple weeks of use, and it hasn't had any visible wear and tear. I am petite (5'4") and it fits me great. It would also fit a large man because the straps are adjustable. I would recommend this bag for daily use.
