Over the last couple of years though, with updates and firmware rollouts, the experience has matured into something seriously impressive. ⸻ The Sony Bravia X90J – Starts Good, Grows Great Out of the box, the X90J gave me what I expected from a Sony mid-tier flagship: a clean, sharp 4K picture, solid HDR, and that rich Sony color palette. The blacks weren’t OLED-level, but with full-array local dimming, the contrast still popped, especially in dark game scenes or cinematic sequences. Where it really started to shine was after a few software updates. Sony added better motion handling, improved the VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support, and tightened the latency. Suddenly, this wasn’t just a “good” TV—it became a legit gaming display. For PS5 titles like Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, or Horizon Forbidden West, the visuals feel immersive, fluid, and deep. The Google TV interface has gotten more stable too. I bought 3 tvs as a moved to a new apartment. 2 Samsung ( because I thought they were the best ) and 1 Sony 65” ( because my brother said Sony was better ) for the living room. I have to say; this tv kicks hard! Best features! Connects with my iPhone, with my Mac Pro, the picture is amazing! I would recommend it!

I purchased this TV to replace a different TV from Vizio that died on me. The X90J has been on my radar for many years now, and finally decided it was time. At this point in time, it's extremely well priced and provides an excellent HDR peak luminance for this range. My primary usage is with a PlayStation 5.

I bought this TV about 1 year ago. It has worked flawlessly. Picture is great! I use this with a Sony receiver in a 3.1 sound configuration so cannot speak to the internal speakers. So far very happy with this product. Would definitely buy Sony again.

Picture is crystal clear and sound quality is amazing. And honestly, for sporting events, watching the game on this TV is the next best thing to being in the stands. The only negative is the remote. Its so hard to figure out, still haven't gotten there yet - can't even find the "exit" on the darn thing. But don't let that deter you from owning this TV - it's a great value - especially for the price!

I bought this TV a couple months ago and I love it! Always been a Sony Fan for TV. I did some research with some other Sony model and choose this one. The only downfall is this tv needs an update for VRR and low latency mode for gaming as my Xbox console has that option but it won’t let me choose it. Sony please fix this ASAP

The TV lasted 4 yrs and 4 months, then failed terminally due to T-con failure

I wanted a PS5 compatible tv. This is one of the best from last season. I love how bright the colors are when I watch with the lights on and during the daytime. The Vivid picture mode is great and colors really pop. Sometimes it turns itself off for no reason.

The picture is fantastic. I connected the headphone output ti my stereo, which does not have HDMI input. When I turn off the TV while the stereo is still on, I get a loud pop thru the speakers. I tried using the digital output but you don't have volume control. When the TV is off you can see a bump or seam in the reflection, about 9" tall. I don't notice it when I'm watching the TV but it is something kind of annoying.
