Sony Black DSC-H300/B Digital Camera with 20.1 Megapixels and 35x Optical Zoom

Great camera and features. Poor instruction manual. Should have more detail each menu. Was able to figure it out but should have been better support in the user manual. Otherwise easy to use and a real value for the features. Have been very satisfied so far.

This is a great full size camera with sharp images 20 mega pixel and 35 zoom. Took to vacation in Montana Yellowstone Park and it took great landscape, group pictures as well as general pictures and close ups. I was tired of the bulkiness of the DSLR cameras. Price was great and takes general SD and 4 AA batteries. Took over a hundred pix before I had to change batteries.

I have had my camera for about 2 weeks now. The pictures are great, it is so easy to use. I love it!! The only negative I have about it is that it should come with its memory card, camera case, etc. Now I have to shop for the camera case and memory card, etc. Yuk, hate hunting around! Otherwise, I highly recommend this product!

I was so excited to get my camera, but extremely disappointed that I had to print out the 180 page User's Manual. Since I'm just learning photography I want a manual I can take with me to refer to, and not try to read it off my phone. Including the manual would be great. Off the soap box: I'm really enjoying my camera and am learning how to use it. It's fairly easy-to-use, EXCEPT I want to learn some of the tricks that photographers use to give that special awe. I would really like to write another review after I've had more time to learn to use it better. So far I think it's going to be perfect for a beginner camera that will give me an idea if I want to take classes and want to purchase a better camera or stay with this one and just be happy as an amateur photographer.

I purchased this camera for my 16 yr old's Film class... He has had several video projects and its very easy to use, easily mountable on the surfaces we've needed it mounted on and with a professional grade video card it's done it's job.

I gave this camera to my daughter who is staring to take up photography. She wanted one of those more expensive ($500-$700) Canon cameras, but I thought the price was much too expensive for a new hobby. So far she really love it and the digital quality look fantastic. We have yet to develop pictures, and are still learning many of its features, but are overall happy with this item.

I got this as a gift for a teenager as her first "real" camera. Easy to use the basics right out of the box, however, no manual printed manual included, so makes it difficult to try and experiment with all the features unless you are near an internet connection during the learning phase. I'm a little concerned about battery life and the use of disposable batteries versus rechargeable. Over time AA rechargeable (onboard using the USB cable) is way cheaper and will help reduce landfill waste, and you can always use disposable in a pinch.

While I like the camera, I was quite disappointed So, while on vacation, I wanted to know how to play back photos taken and use some advanced options. Without a computer, I was lost! Very disappointing. Not sure why a simple booklet is not included. It makes you want to leave the camera behind and take your old reliable camera instead! It wouldn't kill Sony to add a simple booklet!

Bought this camera for my daughter for Christmas, it was the only thing she wanted and the only thing I could get her, I didn't know it needed a memory card so she could only take 7 pictures without the card, I got the memory card today and now the camera isn't working at all, it keeps shutting off she cant take any pictures and it is going through batteries almost daily, she has only had it for 4 days. I will call and find out what I have to do to get it repaired, unfortunately the box was destroyed while trying to get the camera out of it so I can't take it back to Walmart to exchange it. Needless to say I have a very upset 13 yr old and I am extremely disappointed with the product and it was not cheap at least not to me. I really hope they can fix it.
