Wow, just Wow! These are excellent. Sound great. The only thing I had a problem with was pressing the buttons to go to the next song or back. Easy enough to do once you find out you should just hold the plus or minus button until the headphone beeps to let you know you held the button long enough.
I bought these on clearance in a sealed box and in a security container. They were $85 then marked to $58 and I grabbed them at $21! My sister loves to listen to her music as she works out and this fit the bill great! I buy in January for Christmas so I can get more bang for my buck at Walmart.
With its relatively modest price, I was a bit worried that these BT headphones may be screechy in the high end and would be weak with the bass. I was pleasently surprised that the sound is nicely balanced between both extremes. I use them to listen to Hi-Res MP3's. There is good extension in the high ranges, so that music sounds sweet, clear and articulate but not harsh and over-emphasized. The overall sound is a touch warm, with just a hint of extra mid-bass energy but this is what helps to reduce listener fatigue. The bass is capable of being fast and clean and they can go really low. If you listen to bass heavy, thumpy music, these will not be for you. With its clear mids and nicely presented soundstage, I highly recommend them for pop, acoustic jazz and latin styles.
I just bought these today to replace a set of Beatsx that sadly failed after less than 2 years. (No jogging or sweaty workout usage) I did love my Beatsx but honestly, the bass response in these Sony WI-XB400 Extra Bass are everything they advertise. Sound quality is superior to the Beatsx IMHO. I hope these last :)
It does have a good base. The charging head is a C which is very common and compactable with all C charging. More over , I got it at clearance prices at $19.99. You never know what you find and expect when you shop at the Walmart I said it is affordable for the price with a quality headphone. Shop Walmart.
Sony is a very reliable company. I love the earbuds and I bought a pair for my daughter. We both like the way they shut off after I think 15 minutes of sound going through as well as they charge in ten minutes and they last long
Now these rock I tried total uncorded blu tooths and not even close to these. They have 11 mm speakers and they will produce plus you cant loose them they have magnetic ends that clip around your neck . Easy to pair and loud as heck
I go through headphones a lot because I use them while landscaping. The hardest part is finding a bluetooth head phone that is light weight and doesn't fall out of my ear easily. These are good for moderate activity but you cant move around to well because of the battery packs dangling around. I wish the length of the cord was adjustable. Also, the bass is meh for what I was expecting but it was there.
I’ve bought this model of Sony headphones twice in the past six months. The first pair lasted about five months, which is a “long” life, I found out, for modern headphones like this. They do give decent sound, and although uncomfortable at first, they were soon so comfy I often forgot I had them on. But I wouldn’t buy these again, and I cannot recommend them. Like other Sony wireless earphones I have purchased over the past two years, after about a month, there was sound coming out of one side only. That happened with less expensive Sony wireless headphones, which is why I bought this more expensive model. But- it didn’t matter. These lasted a month before the sound quit on one earbud. And I was not neglectful or rough with my handling of the headphones either. Sony used to be such a reliable brand. The recent performance of their various headphones I’ve purchased, one after the other, has convinced me that it doesn’t matter what the price point of their product might be. It isn’t the 70s any more, and Sony is just no longer a dependable, quality brand.
Got these for the extra bass but the bass was weak. Took them back and got the Ankler Soundcore Life Note C. It has so much more bass than the Sony WIXB400.
