I don't understand the reviews that say this doesn't work on hard cheese. I have no problem on a brick of extra sharp or sharp chedder. Hopefully,people are smart enough not to try to cut through the wrapper. The pepper jack is softer and my cuts aren't as precise but it's fine. I have never had one of these cheese slicers and am enjoying this one.

I rarely do reviews but this is an Excellent cheese slicer. It was worth a few extra dollars. (and I don't like to spend cash on this kind of stuff) It way exceeded what I was expecting. You won't be disappointed.

Sopito wire cheese slicer, very nice material, has some heavy to it, easy to clean, cuts cheese so much better and adjust roller for thickness . Last one I purchase was aluminum and discolored, wire stretched out making the cheese to cut unevenly . This new one I replaced it with is much better also came with 3 extra wires for replacement, easy to replace wire.

This wire cheese slicer is easy to use for even slices and it's safer than using a knife. I'm sure that it'll be durable and it came with extra wires.

This is a heavy duty cheese slicer with additional wires. I really like that the depth of cheese slices can easily be changed. It is much sturdier than other slicers I have used. I expect it to last a very long time.

Hard to adjust. Not good with refrigerated aged cheddar cheese. May be better with cheese at room temperature, but it is still very difficult to adjust.

I like the fact that you can adjust the thickness of the cheese slices and it slices with ease. Easy to clean (just throw it in the dishwasher or wipe the blade after you have finished using it). I had one identical to this that lasted about 4 years before the wire broke. We used it darn near daily. It was just as cheap to buy a new one as it was to buy replacement wires. This one came with an additional 3 wires.
