Very strong, but I prefer ground
It's really strong. After using this year, I am going to go back to using ground sage next year instead. This had a bitter after taste and it is the first time I ended up not liking dressing at Thanksgiving. It's not the sage's fault I didn't realize how strong it is compared to the ground version, but I will still not use it again. If you like really strong flavors, you will appreciate this spice. It definitely is flavorful.

Cannot shake/sprinkle out of bottle
This sage itself is not bad but it comes in a bottle without the top insert part with holes in it. That means a person cannot shake/sprinkle this over or into anything while it is in its own bottle. Had I realized this I would not have purchased this sage. One reason I consider paying for higher-end spices is my expectation of their being packaged in real glass rather than some kind of crappy post-1990s-regulations plastic. This brand seems more than decent in general but no insert with holes under the cover means no reorder of this item.
