McCormick's whole cloves came with all the stems on attached to the clove. With the clove being while I was able to pierce the orange easily. The whole cloves were so fragrant and fresh. I like to simmer apple cider with whole cloves and orange zest.

After looking up recipes with cloves in it and trying several. The only one that was good was making pumpkin pie. The cloves did have a very strong smell and I would recommend to use lightly even with the recipes you may find. Because, I've found that I am just not a fan of cloves. I did use some to make a potpourri and that mixed with apples, oranges, cinnamon, and the clove; really smelled great. I do know people swear by cloves, pineapple, cherries, and cloves go great together. Yet, I am not a fan of ham or warm pineapple. I at least tried.

I cant taste the clove potencie taste like nothing and smell is very faint not strong like before. I have Always used McCormick this is disappointing will be switching brand. Maybe a bad batch but still dull is smell and taste.
