This ended up being way more useful than expected. Tried it in a mezcal mule first and it completely leveled up the drink. Muddled a few pieces in and it added this warm, spicy sweetness that balanced the smokiness perfectly and made it taste way more layered than just using ginger beer. Since then it's been showing up everywhere, mixed into oatmeal, paired with dark chocolate, even tossed into quick savory dishes for a little sweet heat. The texture is soft without being overly sticky, and the flavor is clean, not overly sugary like a lot of crystallized ginger. Easy upgrade for both drinks and food, definitely keeping this around.

I am very pleased with the quality of this McCormick organic crystallized ginger, it came fresh, the pieces are soft, chewy and covered in sugar, love the well balanced sweet spicy flavor, so far I used these in a stir fry, brings out the flavors, adds depth and a pinch of spice, as an addition to my tea I can definitely taste the delicious ginger, ideal to make ginger snap cookies with the perfect amount of sweetness and spice, also love to eat it by itself, not only is a tasty snack but it helps settle my stomach, definitely great after dinner for its digestive properties. The quality is superb, I'm definitely buying these again, highly recommended!

My family fell in love with a ginger-based cookie last Christmas and I was finally able to make a second batch. It was so nice to not have to struggle with the sticky mess left after chopping large candied ginger chunks. McCormick sent this product for me to try out for free. I added it to my hot tea which was delicious! I made banana bread (chopped it up a bit more) and it gave a nice little zing to the bread. It complements the bananas nicely. It's a soft and chewy consistency. Sweet and spicy kick if eaten out of the jar. I would like to purchase more and try them in cookies. I highly recommend this product.

I don't normally use a lot of ginger, but I was able to get many uses out of the McCormick Gourmet Organic Crystalized Ginger. Thanks to McCormick for the free product!
