McCormick Kosher Basil Leaves, 0.62 oz Bottle

I used McCormick Basil Leaves in my homemade lasagna, and it added a warm, classic Itailian-sryle flavor that blended really well with the tomato sauce, cheese, and pasta. The basil had a nice aroma and gave the dish a fresh herb taste without over powering the other ingredients. I also liked that the leaves were easy to sprinkle. Overall, this us a reliable pantry staple that helps make dishes taste more flavorful. I would definitely use it again.

Great format for the leaves, with enough texture to give enough without giving too much. A little really goes a long way when you're using a larger grind size, and it adds a nice pinch of color to dishes. The flavor really pops through as you would hope.

I used the basil leaves for two different dishes a pasta sauce and to season chicken. The basil smell is potent and you can smell it while you're cooking. It's a great color and the size is good so it blended nicely with the sauce. The flavor is not overpowering just the right amount to make the dishes delicious. This is a very good quality spice brand i have found till now. The size of the bottle is good enough to use for long time. Since i use basil leaves in lot of my meal preparations including salad, pasta and other dishes, this turned out to be really good. Loved the fresh taste , aroma and flavor it adds to the dishes

I love cooking and using fresh or dried herbs is always a must in my daily dishes. I loved testing the McCormick Basil Leaves. They add just the right amount of flavor to sauces, chicken, marinades, you name it! I used it in my homemade marinara sauce and they were delicious! I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone who likes to spice things up in the kitchen :)

This basil is just as good as any of the "premium" herbs often sold in the glass bottle, possibly better. I have an elder pug that is becoming a picky eater and missing a few teeth. Because of this I make his food from scratch. One of the ingredients I have been adding is dried basil because it's natural anti-inflammatory, and he likes the take of it. I feel good using this for the whole family, including the pickiest of the eaters, the pug. In addition, the lid is ingenious, I can now open the top with one hand while stirring at the same time, making things easier and cleaner.

This basil was fantastic! The size of the spice pieces was appropriate, not too large and not complete dust (like some other brands!). The taste was nice and hearty throughout the recipes it was used in. I would greatly suggest giving this product a try, you will not be disappointed!

I recieved this product in exchange for my honest review. If you are tired of fresh basil turning to black mush or simply because you don't have fresh basil available, this dried basil leaves are very very handy. I understand dried herbs usually get a bad rap for being flavorless or dusty, but this dried basil is surprisingly fragrant and serves as a great substitute when fresh basil leaves aren't available. The trick is rehydrating it properly. Instead of just sprinkling it dry, I soaked a teaspoon in extra virgin olive oil for about ten minutes before applying the mixture in my sandwich. The flavors came together really nicely with a rich, sweet, peppery aroma and gave an extra kick to the sandwich. ​I am planning to use these dried basils leaves in meatballs next for homemade meatballs. I imagine dried basil hold up far better to sustained heat than delicate fresh leaves, and I look forward to making more flavorful meals with these dried basils.
