At 74 years old I exercise every day because of the importance of keeping your body in good physical condition and maintaining strength, muscle tone, and flexibility of your body structure. I do a lot of stretching, calisthenics, weight training, and facilitated stretching and decided to try a pair of these ankle weights. Right out of the box I noticed the heavyweight design and construction of the straps. I strapped them on making sure to buckle them with the SPRI logo on the outside. They were more comfortable for me by sliding the weights around with the "SPRI" logo in the front, but will work fine either way you want. Noticed an immediate change in anything I did with my legs, so start off easy with them like the directions state, only use them once or twice per week at first until your body adapts to the added weight. Only do the enclosed illustrated exercises, do NOT try to run or hike long distances while wearing them. General light housework while wearing them would be fine, but don't overdo their use, especially the first few times of use. Easy to see how over an extended period these weights will be beneficial to your leg strength and muscle tone, I had already been doing the side stretches but while using the weights it really ramped up the pressure.
The SPRI Ankle weights 5 pound pair, is a must have , whether you are active or not. They are easy to put on, you can customize the weight, there is a zipper to remove some of the weight if you want. They are easy to put on, the packs of weight face the front, my pant legs easily fit over them. If you want to increase your legs, thighs, calves, muscle and strength, I would highly recommend these ankle weights, while I am doing nothing around the house, I wear them and sitting watching tv, I wear them and do leg exercises and calf exercises, no noise, no effort.. Try them you will not be disappointed.
The ankle weights are good value %26 work great.
The ankle weights are very easy to use, very convenient. The ankle weights supplied enough weight for the resistance training I pursue. The ankle weights idea is very good for giving just enough resistance, not to overload someone. The ankle weight product looks very good, looks sporty. The material it is made with is very attractive. And they are comfortable to wear. The amount of weight it gives makes it stand out. The size of the ankle weights is not too big, not too cumbersome. The packaging is ok. I suggest telling how a lot of people used the ankle weights to be successful on the advertising box.
These weights were good quality and fair priced. The 10lb belt can easily be adjusted for fit and weight the can be removed by 2.5lb increments.
Good quality. Read the packaging carefully as they have the same for all weights 2.5 / 5/ 10 Lbs - Definitely recommend this to anyone who is considering buying
SPRI ankle weights are great for knee replacement rehab. My husband uses them daily as part of his physical therapy. The weights are well made and easy to use.
I think I was a bit of an overachiever when getting this, as I guess I didn't realize what five pounds feels like on my ankles. So I was so glad to see the weight is spread out over 4 little bags (see pic). That makes a world of difference for me so that I can start low and build my way up. I've never had ankle weights before, but wanted to pump up my workouts since I have limited time. These are pretty comfy and have a nice thick Velcro that keeps the weights in place pretty well. They're a little bulky, but it's not really a problem. I haven't tried them on my wrists, but I imagine they'd be too big for that, but I bet they'd work well a little further up. Overall, I'd definitely recommend these as an easy and pretty cost effective way to make your workouts more intense.
I was expecting a set of 10 lbs each. I got 5 lbs each.
The zipper broke now weights fall out.
