SPRI Pro Fitness Exercise Mat, 12MM Thickness, Grey, Includes Carrying Strap

I am writing this review to help others. This mat has the right amount of firmness and “give” that works for me. Believe it or not, I make shoe inserts for my footwear to alleviate the deteriorating bone structure in my foot. It really helps and lasts several months longer than the foam pads by Dr. Scholl and others.

The SPRI Pro Fitness 12 mm Mat is so comfortable! I work out in my partially finished basement on the concrete floor. Now I can finally do my floor exercises without having to worry about the cleanliness of the floor. The mat doesn't move or slide on the floor. It sticks to the floor until you move it, providing the stability needed for exercise. The mat is thick and durable. Even though it is thicker, this mat is very easy to roll up after use. It takes seconds to put the strap on both ends and you can easily carry the whole mat over one arm. This mat could be used for yoga, squats, push-ups, lunges, bridges, crunches, etc. I'd recommend this mat for anyone looking to do exercises from home or to expand their home gym with limited space or for those looking to different types of exercises.

Just got this yoga mat to start incorporating at-home exercises more regularly into my routine. Pleasantly surprised about how insulated and thick (1/2”) it is, making my exercising on tile or wood surface so much easier or in other words less painful. I tried it on carpet and wood surfaces for HIIT workouts and it works well without slipping, but on tile the mat did move around a little bit. It's bottom surface is textured and provides a pretty good grip and stability. The length is perfect for full body exercises ( measures 73” length and 23.5” width) for me being 5'3”, but I wish it was a bit wider. When I first got it there was some odor, probably from the material it's made of, which has faded away with time. The mat itself is very smooth and pretty easy to wipe down and clean and doesn't have that tacky feel to it. After workouts, I just clean it with soft wet towel. It came with an elastic strap to easily carry it after it has been rolled up.

I had a yoga mat that I have used for years but after getting this one, the old mat went in the trash. This mat is made of thick foam. It is longer than my old mat and has much more padding. I was pleasantly surprised when I put my knee on the mat and could not feel the hard floor. Because of the comfort of this mat, I can workout longer.

I was truly expecting to be underwhelmed, but happy to say that I was totally wrong! Usually, this type of mat is either really hard, or really inadequate and thin. This one is NEITHER. The SPRI mat is high density, but has excellent give, to protect your elbows and knees, and it's thick enough to really do the job well. It's also longer than most mats of this type, giving more room to maneuver and stretch out. It also came with a nice carry and roll-up strap. This is not some cheap yoga mat- it's definitely suitable for more than that. My family is really happy with it- two thumbs up!

Got this mat as I do stretching exercises for my back,and having this on the floor is a lot easier on my 59 year old joints,is thick enough to to take some the hardness out of kneeling on floor,also used for doing sit ups by hooking feet into recliner and does feel good on back versus the floor.Does have a carrying strap which good if you go out to like yoga class etc,but i just roll up and stick in corner and it stays fine.Its plenty long enough as I am 6 foot and plenty of room also in width.So a pretty decent mat,helps soften kneeling on floor and as I mentioned plenty big enough.

I have a bad back but I love yoga. This may is extra thick yet still good for yoga. With herniated disc exercises I do on my back I always double up on mats and it still hurts, but not with this mat! I'm extremely satisfied and happy! I highly recommend buying this mat!

This is an awesome mat. It is thicker than a traditional yoga mat, but it is so comfy! It is great for exercising, and I even have used it as a standing mat at work a few times. It comes with a rubber band carrying case type thing so it's easy to transport. It's very long and versatile to be able to be used with many different exercises! It's nice quality and arrived in great condition. I highly recommend it!

Thicker than I was expecting!!! I'm so happy with that. So many yoga mats are too thin for my personal preference. I'm pregnant, so I do like a little extra comfort. The downside to using this while pregnant is that due to it being thicker—it's also a little too soft which can throw my balance off a little. I'm still so happy with this, even my daughter uses it for little tumbles! I love the gray and striped texture to it, it looks so nice! After awhile a lot of my last yoga mats would get nicks in the material and scratches but this is way more durable than any ive had before. The first use I had to lay it out flat and put weights on either end to flatten it a bit since it's been so tightly rolled up for awhile. The strap that comes with it to roll it back up and carry it is super helpful! I want to get more of these for my boyfriend and our kids now.

I have yet to understand how fitness companies can make products out of materials that clearly off-gas toxic fumes (and likely are absorbed by the skin through direct contact as well), and simultaneously be promoting health. This product is one of those conundrums that seems to lack either reason or integrity. Please do better SPRI, the health of your customers depends on it. Oh yes, I returned it.
