This is setting on my bookshelf which happens to be full of books......and you cant pick out that it's NOT a REAL book. Don't expect this to be a fireproof safe for storing "valuables" in because it is not airtight. But maybe a little rainy day cash.......good idea. Neat little hiding place.

I am very pleased, satisfied, and content with this book safe. I have filled it with some liquid funds. I placed it together with other books and it looks like a regular book. The feeling of safety and protection has increased drastically. I would recommend this idea for anyone who is the master of their money and not a slave to their lender. You need to have access to liquid assets just in case there is an emergency in your life or just because you are thinking ahead in life.

This is exactly what I was looking for, a place to safely store valuables when I am away. On my bookshelf it blends in inconspicuously with other books. It is not fire rated but that is understandable at this price point. Overall I am 100% satisfied with my purchase.

Book looks good, like the real thing. The "pages" are plastic wrapped around the metal box and are textured to look like pages. It looked like the book had been dropped on the corner and part of that plastic was cracked and the corners bent, though the corners being bent add to the illusion of a uesd book, the broken plastic could have been a give away if seen. I called the Wayfair customer service line and the gentleman on the phone seemed to care that the product was messed up and wanted to fix it. He set up the shipment of a new "book" and said that we would not even have to ship the broken one back. The crazy thing is that the book was most likely broken through the #rd party shipping company. Plan to buy from Wayfair again.

I love this locked box.It looks just like any other book on the shelf, anyone that's walks into the room and looks at the bookshelf does not even realize that it's not a book. I recommend this to anyone.

I like it very much. It's discreet. No one know or pays any attention to the book. I use it to save my money in my bedroom. It looks just like a book.

The inside of the book is great. The lock is fairly simple but not something that any random person would be able to open. It's metal and basic lockpicking doesn't seem to work. The cover part of the book is also realistic. My only problem with this product is that the "pages" are totally light and made of plastic. Unless it's just a glance this isn't fooling anyone. However on the bottom of a bookshelf it works wonders.

I purchased mine to store my 1911 A1 .45 cal. pistol in while in my home but was disappointed with the quality when I first got it. The extruded white "pages" would not fool anyone at first or second glance. I purchased a gold paint pen and carefully painted the white "pages" and the result was a pleasant "gold leaf" look to the page ends such as found in limited editions and bibles. The fit was very tight for my gun but any pistol smaller would be fine. I opted not to put any fabric in for lining nor much foam for padding. The metal edges were very sharp and not finished very well. I was able to fix this by filing and sanding to smooth the sharp edges. I manages to get some grease splatters on the cover and could not get them out. Even fingerprints showed on the cover and all my attempts to clean the cover showed my efforts. However, the book now looks well worn and not new. The keys work well and are better than most with small locks. I like the fact that two keys are included. I have tested it on several of my friends and most could not tell it was concealing a gun even while touching it, although the weight gave it away. For taking to and from the car, it is perfect as I have a concealed carry license but do not want to carry it on my person. For other things of value, no adjustment is necessary. I am confident a thief would overlook the safe as a book and just hope the robber does not need a dictionary for they could always put the whole safe up and take it with them. Excellent value and walmart had the best price of all sources. At $10.99 you can't go wrong. I was impressed with their order on line and pick up at store service. I went to the Layaway counter and within a minute was given my package, just gave them a signature and left. I will use this service more and more.

The book looks real at a glance but upon taking a closer look the white "pages" are plastic and easily recognizable as a potential hiding spot. Still a great product and totally worth the price
