Easy to put together

maemase February 9, 2017

Box was a little torn up but it was packed well so no damage. Wasn't heavy to pick up. Just kind of awkward cause it a long box. Self explanatory but I followed the directions and it was easy to put together. I don't leave the battery in the counter. I just time myself. I don't really care to know how much I've done as long as I am exercising. It's very smooth when rowing. Low impact. Nothing hurt afterwards. Stores upright but the arms do stick out so it's kinda hard to store away. I leave it out so I can use it though. I'm sure it would fit under a high bed. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and it didn't even cost all that much. Oh and why I went with this is because to get a good treadmill you have to pay over 300 or 400. Plus it can be hardon your knees. Next I looked at a bicycle but I wanted to work out my arms as well and to get a good one once again you have to oy a lot for it. So that's why I ended up with this. It works your whole body.

Body Trac Glider.

Butch C September 1, 2025

The Body Trac Glider is a great way to achieve no impact exercise. It is well built with good quality parts. This is my second Glider. I absolutely wore out the first one and the fact that I purchased this second one speaks for its quality. It's easy to use and store and if replacement parts are ever needed the ordering process is very accommodating. Great piece of equipment!!

I like this machine !!!!!!!

Cuba2014 December 23, 2014

I have little time using this machine, but so far I am pleased with it, small footprint, easy to assemble, I am a tall person and contrary to what I thought before buying, the length of this machine is perfect to me. I feel good when I am using this machine.

Love it!

StaminaReview May 15, 2015

I've been using this machine for a couple weeks now and it's great! I like the rowing motion better than other machines I have used at the gym because it feels more like real rowing. I gave it four stars instead of five because the foot pedals are a little awkward and I wish the resistance could go higher. I am already using it on the 9th resistance level (goes up to 12) and I am really out of shape right now due to an injury. However for the price, you can't beat this machine. Also super easy assembly. I did it by myself in no time and I'm not very handy.

Well built, easy instructions, good exercise - only negative so far is the "computer" - it works most of the time, but sometimes it just stops???? - perhaps it's the machine's way of saying "don't over doo it"

Nice Compact Machine

DCKW June 17, 2015

I have had this machine for a month and it has given me a nice full body workout. The machine is very easy to set up and put away. It fits nicely in smaller spaces. My biggest critique of the machine are the foot holders. During moderately intense activity my feet easily slip out of the holders. It can be a bit annoying when you are really feeling your stride. However, with a quick reset you are quickly back into your workout. I would definitely encourage Stamina to improve this part, but would say it shouldn't stop you from buying this machine.

Good for the price

LoneFunman July 8, 2015

I purchased this rowing machine to give myself an alternative aerobic exercise as I already own an elliptical and run as well. I was also hoping that the resistance would help build upper body and leg strength. The aerobic aspect is excellent. You can really get a good cardio workout and get a real sweat going. One caveat, if you have back issues, which I do, you should try out a rowing machine at a gym before you buy. It has taken me many short workouts to build up to half-hour on this machine. At first it hurt my low back (where my issues reside) and could not use it regularly. Though now I have an easier time of it, sometimes I still find I cannot use the rower for longer than 10 minutes or so. If you have no back issues, I would give this product an unqualified recommendation.

Quality of Workout

Rowing Dad February 4, 2018

To start, there's just nothing out there for the money that does what this does. I feel it gives a reasonable workout for the money. I only have a couple of issues: 1) The catch 'happens' by the ankles, versus beyond, making it more difficult/impossible to attain 'perfect' form. A a consequently the legs seem to get a lesser work-out. 2) the 'weight' on the cylinder does not remain consistent once it gets warm. It will start hard, but seems to soften up.

Solid

robfit March 6, 2019

I bought this item recently and was impressed with its sturdy construction and how easy it was to assemble in a short span of time. Since it relies on a hydraulic mechanism as opposed to other row machines offering water, air, and magnetic resistance, it's not quite consistent in the resistance in my experience with it. When I pull the handles back to begin a workout, it's rather stiff, but after 10-15 minutes the resistance lessens making it easier to pull back on the handles. I would sometimes have to adjust the settings to compensate. But you have to be careful not touching the hydraulic piston on the underside of this row machine as it gets very hot to the touch. The foot pads do not offer heel support to keep your feet (heel-end) anchored properly even with the pedal straps securely fastened. I've had to follow the advise of another customer, who bought this machine too, to buy and jury-rig (or jerry-rig) something to keep my heels and the rest of my feet anchored to the pedals while conducing my workouts with this device. Even with my the straps tightly secured, I find my feet slowly slipping off the bottom lip of the foot pedals. Reference attached picture. I like the fact that it can sit up for storage. It's light enough for me to carry but I do wish they had caster wheels on the front end (where the foot pedals are) of the supporting brace where you can lift the machine and roll it away as opposed to carrying it. Because it uses the hydraulic method, it's much quieter than other row machines using air and water resistance. Overall, it's a good starter machine if you are looking for something quiet, low impact, and inexpensive.

Not bad, but not everything it's cracked up to be

P Nicholas Kinnas author July 7, 2015

I'd like to give this product a 3 1/2 rating. The rowing motion is good, and can work as a stress reliever. The various resistance settings seem to work well. As for the read-out unit, which displays number of rows, minutes, calories--this seems hit and miss. In the beginning, it was completely off, but now seems to be working somewhat. I would recommend that it's simplified and refined: Just to row counts and minutes. Total count is meaningless, and I assume the calorie count is also. As for total upper body workout, that's questionable. I only feel it in my arms. I could lean back as I row and feel the effects more widely dispersed, so maybe there should be instructions on how to row. Regarding cardio workout, If you're in shape, this is mild at best. I was told you have to row faster for a cardio workout, but to get any effect (if you're in shape) the reps would have to be super-fast, which could lead to injury (strained muscles). I got this machined for a cardio workout since I do light weights for upper body. So far, it's not met my expectations. That said, if you're out of shape, I think it would be good or cardio and some upper body. My spouse seems to get more benefit that I do. I will still use it, however, as I can continually increase the resistance to get some benefit. Too early to tell.
